Hmm. Here's something weird (but interesting) I noticed. >.>
In the non-canon series X-Men Evolution, after Apocalypse acquires his Celestial tech (through different means than how he got it in the comic series, which of course, is partly why this series is non-canon), rather than that giant letter "A" appearing on the chest/middle part of his armor, that spider-like thing (which was said to be the engraved sign of Apocalypse in Evolution) appears on it instead, as shown here.
Cool huh? 😛 And for those who didn't notice when watching the series, that's the same symbol that shows up on the walls of the Sphinx from Ancient Egypt (that Beast was translating), as shown here.
It's also the same sign/symbol that Mystique had to touch (that's her hand in the picture below) in order to release Apocalypse from his tomb/prison (beyond the 3rd door that he was locked behind in the series) according to Mesmero, but for some reason, doing so turned her to stone in the process, which she (along with Magneto, Xavier, and Storm) became one of his Horsemen later on.
Regardless of that whole cartoon series being non-canon to the comics, why do you think Apocalypse has that spider-like thing on the middle part of his armor, rather than that "A" symbol his Celestial armor would normally have?
p.s. Don't mind me. 😛 Just trying to think of something... different to discuss about Apocalypse (even if it is about a version of him from a completely non-canon series) in order to keep this great thread alive and kicking...
