You'd celebrate my death because I make it known that I dislike a band?Yeah, I'm the disgusting one, alright.
You are.
Anyways, I think he was speaking in riddles, if you would ban him for being a Nickelback fan (no better reason than this imho) then he would sock...yes, that's what he said.
I think the Pumpkins, for as well as they've done in the past on the musical end of things, don't have their mojo anymore...the same goes for Rage. I don't think they'll offer anything new to the table or make a significant, fresh contribution to music today. So I think they're done.
do you not think the problem might be that fans will simply expect them to play their old repertoire which was highly relevant (in the case of rage) when the songs were initially recorded...and perhaps might not be given the chance to be fresh and innovative
you see that alot with old bands whereby when they reform...the fans simply wait for them to break out the old tunes at gigs and are generally luke warm to any later stuff...
i saw this in particular with the who at T in the park last year...

But, like you've said before, relevance is modern themes and originality/freshness/etc. Rage brings that with each album.
For one, I don't think so. It stopped at 2 (and to be precise, I'm not gonna refer to what you said... "originality/freshness/etc..." I'm talking about a significant contribution to the art of music).
And second, they "brought it"....they don't "bring" anything anymore...and I think the reason they broke up might tell a lot about that...(Apart from the obvious!! 🙄 )

It beat Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart,' Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights,' Queen's 'We Are The Champions' and Will Young's 'Leave Right Now;' who were all short-listed."
Yeah...I must be WAYYY off.
Hahaha. That's some great evidence.
Yes, I'm aware many people like it. They're all musically idiotic.
Shame Will Young didn't win though, huh.
You don't even deserve considered replies, such as many are giving you the courtesy of; it should just be repeated that you believe Angels to be a great song.
What exactly do you think is great about it, while we're on the subject?
The shitty lyrics? The shitty vocals? The music? (Which is shit)?
Or perhaps you just enjoy karaoke and weddings.
Hahaha. Angels, and yet you have the stupidity to carry on.
I've decided; it's trolling. Has to be.
