In the anime they implied Vash shot him in the head and killed him and that's why he was an emotional wreck for an extended period of time. Manga he is still around, but a crippled

Vash would destroy Cap - with that jobber aura he has - he could take out Lucifer Morningstar. Seriously I can see him capping God with that gun of his in a future manga. Oh wait, that's Saint of Killers ...

Let's put things in perspective.

Vash > bullets, using pebbles.

Vash is not fighting someone with a gun.

Cap > launched missile and Thor's hammer, with Shield.

Cap is using his Shield.

Honestly...if Cap's aim and power is good enough to do those two things, how the hell is Vash knocking bullets down with pebbles impressive or relevant to the topic?

And, again, shield > Angel Arm. Can easily absorb the energy without so much as a strain.
