I've got a pistol and a compass that doesn't point north too...yeah.. 😉

and do you carry it with yourself?

when you realize that on your toilet paper are swans 😛

you know ur obsessed when you hear a familiar word and u immediately trace it back to the POTC movies and it's like an OCD that u absolutely have to recite the quote with the word!

or when you hear or read a word like say Calypso and u say "Oooo Pirates!" lol

When this is one of the first places you check in when you come to the lounge--so you'll know how bad off you really are in this

when your friends go....it's been (2,3,4,5,6...and counting) months since the movie, and you are still "embracing your inner pirate".

when you can't go outside to play and you have to imagine that you're below decks, learning more about knots and knot tying and repairing rigging so you don't get all grumpy.

oh, then there's offering extra credit for your students if they can learn to tie a bowline(hair)bow + lynne), sheepshank and figure of 8 knots and they can say the name of the first knot correctly. (hey, we're studying the Gulf of Mexico at my whole school). Don't get me started on prevailing winds and currents...

you know you're obsessed when you don't give a horn of wet powder who the hell knows or comments on the fact that yes, indeedy, you're obsessed.

Lmao 😆 I Love it! What I would have given to have had a teacher like you!! lol...What grade do you teach Texxy<--thats ur new nickname by the way!! lol

Yeah, Sif - I posted pics from the movie a while back. My girlfriends and I...and, uh, well...my dad (and my mom filming and doing makeup) filmed a spoof version of COTBP in about a week in the middle of TN, lol. Yes, I was Jack 😄

where, in this thread, I can't believe I missed them

Its waaaaaaay back on page 59 😛

aww, I can't believe I missed it, maybe I had computer troubles that time

I wish I could do something like you, but I know that will never happen, I have problems to persuade my friends to act in my play, maybe because the lad is way stupid

Aw, I wish you could do one too - that would be so cool! I was lucky in that the four girls were totally obsessed with POTC as well, and my mum and dad humored me b/c we convinced them that it would be a fun, yet educational project (in which it was). You should try, tho! 😄

I wish, but I'm terrible in persuasion, or maybe lack of people, and it doesn't matter why should it be played, like that play I mentioned above, it's about stolen roe, wicked princess, lad who wants to save the world, witch who doesn't want to help and Angela(witch servant, she can transform herself into bird/owl), it's supposed to be charity to earn money to buy new roe (to replace stolen one) but he still says no, and it's sad

7. Sparrabeth! 😱

8. Yays, more Sparrabeth. (Note: Our neighbors must have been convinced I was insane - it was practically snowing and we're singing around a grill in the backyard - you can see how spoofy it was (you can see my dad's car for goodness sakes!))

9. Teresa as the little fish boy from the begining.

10. Anabelle and Maria as Murtog and Mullroy

11. Maria pimpin' up Pintel as a rasta pirate -lol.

12. Bring Me That Horizon....I love how there is a barge in the background 😉

13. Me as Jack and Maria as Elizabeth (attached because the pic is really big I couldn't resize it for some reason - darn computer! 😠)

Wow, more pictures than I originally wanted. Please don't hate me for clogging up the page! 😮

OMG I LOVE IT!!! Wow ur friend Maria proved very useful since apparently she played every other character!! lol

OMG!! Tht is sooo cool!!

I teach big kids ImpPiDiva (and I love my new nickynom--texgod is a little intimidating), high school, my school. My students are anywhere from 14-22, usually late teens. They have to be able to understand a little sarcastic commenting, never at them, usually about situations beyond our control. My favorite thing this year, floor of my classroom is a compass rose now. We painted the floor. Included the beyond here there be monsters on one edge, plus ultra (more beyond) on the other.

lol brit!

I wish I could do stuff like that too.. 😛

u know ur obsess when on ur bday, ur friend gets u a card, u open it, and shes stuck pictures of johnny and jack in it and u quickly go over to ur stash of bluetack, put loads on so it doesnt fall off the wall, and have to find a space to put it....😛

Yeah, Maria was such a trooper - we filmed on location all over the city. We even used "Houston's" as the Faithful Bride (lol). It was neat since we couldn't have Will and Elizabeth in the same scene at the same time, it ended up being kinda Sparrabethy (not in a weird way though, since we are both girls 😛). Was tons of fun though 😛
