speaking of that O thang--I go to this one cool poster store and the sales staff all know me as "that lady that likes pirate stuff" cos I stand and fondle (rather slyly) certain posters and I think they are on to me. And the part where I move with superhero speed to anything remotely piratey, headscarfy, dangly, dreadlocky, swordy, boaty...so pitiful--poster lust is an ugly side of this obsession stuff.
I squee everytime I see a trailer for DVD too!! and the Sweeney trailers!! lol

Texxy ur soooo cute!!! lol
Bandaids--you got bandaids--big juju--not fair!! I want everything pirate that is secret--it's really difficult being an older and desiring embelems of my desire, er interest yeah. Only, here I be, and when I went to pick up a friend to run an errand (and he's ten years younger than me) laughs and says oh, you're wearing your pirate shirt today--so I hurumphed--thought about it and said, yea, but it's mostly buttoned up and I don't have my sword on.
I'm obsessing. I will breathe deeply and not be too jealous--bandaids make me happy on so many levels. And that's a good friend too--something my gfs would do--explain to her (him) the risks--they can be hung too for consorting with or knowing a piratista. It's cool when your friends will feed your addiction. In a nice way of course.
We were playing such game in French lesson, one of us was famous person and had to guess who is he/she. No idea why, but I was Johnny, I guessed it after 9 questions, but it would be really weird if I only said Is it man? Is he american? 😛 so I asked more, I got only one negative answer, if he's over 60 😛
You know you're obsessed when yep, you're still at it--after all this time and one of the things that you're proudest of this year, well, two things--
1. I actually wasn't totally stark staring bonkers over Imperial Pirate Diva having actually met Mr. Depp, (well just slightly briefly) and buddy ro, that was a tuffie. lmao at my own stinkpot self--I do so want what I want probably right prior to knowing I want it. So, ImpPirateDiva, you are both a test and a joy, the latter being the more likely of the two.
2. I was at the first night AWE played and it sold me on being there the first time, when it's something I'm interested in--everyone in the audience knew, they understood, I wish I had thought to have a table with an email sheet or something so we could have conversed about it after. Loved being there obsessed with about 200 other people!!
oh, now that's obsessed--seriously wicked and possessed!!
And I forgot--it's buying the Avon PotC book becos there was included a very cheesy variation on The(expletive deleted provided by Miz Kateloves) Compass--and you find out the pieces of eight with it ARE ALSO DISCS FOR THE VIEW MASTER Compass!! View Master!! (I collect 'em, my oldest is Bakelite with a round face circa 1943--I have probably 10 cherry ones--about 35 total). PotC!! and TADA, The (expletive deleted provided by Miz Imp PiDiva) Compass. Okay, everytime I buy something that is piratey I also laugh ha ha for my nieces, you know, they are 10 and 13--I indulge them with Piratey stuff you know. I'm evil Tia, closet pirate lover (or the more politically correct term, independent naval acquistion expert and salvage technician, with a fair dinkum passing fancy towards demolition), lordy even that screams spending a lot of time on that aren't we? From now on, just know if I log on it's yeah, obsession.
ImpPiDiva--journal assignment--10 things I love about the Caribbean Sea. for history and economics: we did the slaves, sugar, rum trade triangle, we listened to slave/songs of the Caribbean/sea chantys, for math, we worked out the money exchange for pieces of eight to today's currency, for health: life expectancy, health and hygenie issues if you happened to be a pirate. My students have assured me I have covered the Gulf of Mexico totally--and we haven't even gotten to weather and treasure (hurricanes and the Spanish Main, gold ships). Life is obsessed.
