I do have an idea, but it's more a series of interconnected Battlezones, each with unique rules. With this format, we can just have individual matches that are fun, without the down time and rule-deciding that bogs down other tourneys. And with this formula it can take as long as necessary, but won't "die" from lack of activity.

The idea will be to create unique battles for the participants, who will decide upon the stipulations (though I have some suggestions and ideas). It'll be in a bracket format with a definite winner, and will probably highlight notable members of KMC tourney history.

I also want to offer a real life prize for the winner, which is an idea I've had for a long time but never bothered to try and implement.

No time-table, but it'll happen eventually.

In regards to delph's last tourney, I've kinda been dragging my feet. I'm a bit torn. It'll get it's own section and all, but the winners were arbitrarily decided upon by delph at the end after a rash of inactivity from all competitors and several judges. I hesitate to give any official victories for such a decision. So delph has announced Scoob and leo as winners, but they will not be recognized as such here. This isn't a slight against them, but rather a precedent that I feel needs to be set. The other mostly-completed tourney that didn't end, didn't have a winner either (though it was in the semis, not finals, though the principle is the same) and I'd rather not break that trend. If you want the official win, you should need to actually win the thing.

Any objections can be talked about here, but I don't anticipate any, except perhaps grumblings from Scoob and leo themselves.

Not currently, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to try to include them. Once the new forum goes up and Battlezones get moved there, it'll be easier to tabulate results. Finding all of them now would take far longer than I currently have to dedicate to it, so doing it gradually over time will be easier.

Once this tourney's over, I plan to do some updates here. Delph's Season One thingy will be getting added, despite the controversial non-ending it had, as will batdude/Kahn's current one.

PM me with anything you want added. Or post it here. Not requests, though, but something like "here's some links that I think would be fun to add." I might make a Battlezone section, but would need a fair amount of outside help to put it together, since I've never really been a part of the whole BZ phenomenon.

No complaints there, except seeing the new tournies... I wish more people had posted winners comments, though. But you of course don't have any control over that.

So I'm rooting through some old Word files on tourney drafts today, since I guess I'm in leo's possible upcoming low meta shindig. And I find the following:

This thread just got a substantial update. The opening post is updated to include all sections of the thread as well as all tournies. Every tourney thread has an entry, and the statistics (participants, winners, character, etc.) are also up-to-date. Adding a few links from Delph's league of champions is the only remaining update that I'll get to here in a few days.

The current tourney leo is hosting will get an entry when it's over.

I also condensed the tourney posts themselves so that there's 2 in each post. I was running out of room on Page 1, and would like to keep everything there if possible.
