You mean the character he was originally designed to fight? You mean the guy who KO Wendigo in his first appearance in hulk 181. You are talking about a guy who in some of his very first solo titles fought people like tiger shark, wendigo, Ba’al as well as other high strength level characters. You mean the guy who fought and KOed grey hulk in incredible hulk issue 340. Logan has been fighting hulk through out his career even from the start as well as many other high level characters. You don’t think Logan should fight the hulk even though he has done it 14 times and was designed to be a hulk rouge.
You think spiderman should kick wolverine ass even though marvel disagrees? They have foughten 4 times and spiderman has never won. If it was not for webbing spiderman would lose pretty much every time. Logan has been this way from the start and yet you feel it “out of his powers”? Do you know any thing about wolverine? You clearly know little to nothing and yet you think you can accurately gauge “what his powers should be”.
Why, because your bias? He been doing these things from the start. He a superhuman who designed to battle bricks as well as other meta humans. Wolverine can’t defeat hulk that is true, however he can sure as hell battle him a good long time. Spiderman can not and should not kick Wolverine ass. Spiderman’s only way of taking down Logan would be to use webbing besides that he be unable to stop Logan. It has been shown from the start that he can take what ever Spiderman can dish out. Have you ever even seen wolverines rouges? Sabertooth, lady death strike and omega red are all meta humans with superhuman strength, speed, agility and reflex as well as other abilities. Those are just three off the top of my head.

The point was that you are saying he been written over his abilities and yet if that was true he would have defeated sentry.
Your whole argument has been the fact that Logan has over time been written beyond his abilities. Logan knocked out Wendigo and battle the Hulk logan before he ever fought Cyclopes. So by your logic that would mean Cyclopes is going beyond his abilities.
Also by the way Cyclopes has never once defeat Wolverine. He beat a mind control wolverine who was in the air falling.By your logic Cyclopes takig Logan on would be beyond his abilities since he battle hulk and wendigo log before ever fighting cyclopes
He never defeat wolverine before. Also Cyclopes shot laser out of his eyes, who needs superhuman stats when you can do that. Also Logan has superhuman agility, strength, reflex, speed, durability, stamina, healing factor and senses.

he'd be my favourite character of the bunch, though i don't hear much of him due to his powers and whatnot...
john stewart gets some pretty bad treatment at times, but i think he's ok despite some writers shitting all over him...

i loved how they described his powers in rebirth, it seemed a really cool concept that none of his constructs were hollow... everything was built from the inside out, like, if he made a plane, it wouldnt just be a construct in the shape of a plane, it would have the engine and all the nuts and bolts and everything...

And the guy doesn't get the respect he deserves he may not be the best GL but even a decent high-tier GL is still a good force to be reckoned with.
