No. It isn't. Why does a spirit have to be a supernatural religious presence.
Because thats the very definition of the word.
Can you scientifically prove spirits' existence? No, so there you go.

Does that mean atheists belive that people dont' have souls? As very much an athiest and a spiritual person myself, there is a lot more to live that materialistic ends. People have souls. I believe they die with the person, they are the product of biology, not god, but they are still there.
Just because an atheist practices martial arts, does yoga, and meditates while listening to ambience CD's doesn't mean theyre 'spiritual'.

Aww, that's sweet, I'm the scorpion? No, but really, by whatever honour I have, please tell me what you meant, and I will either respond in a serious and uninsulting manner or not at all, whichever you prefer, you just tell me. Please.
You don't know the story about the scorpion and the fox? 😱 And you would be the scorpion.
There once was a fox and scorpion trying to cross a river. The scorpion asked the fox to carry it across, and the fox refused out of fear of being stung, so the scorpion promised the fox that if the fox carried him across the river he would not sting the fox. The fox, like any good fable character, agreed and once they reached the other side of the river, the scorpion stung him. While the poison coursed through the fox’s body, he asked the scorpion why he stung him after promising not to, to which the scorpion replied, “I’m sorry fox, but it is my nature.”
