It's in Quasar #24. Maelstrom confronts the Watcher, Galactus, Arishem and Thanos w/IG & Mephisto. But Thanos is the only one to have a shot at him.
hmm well in quasar cosmos in collison the final comic of that arc,whatever malestrom started(imense black hole) he was destroyed by it as stated by malestrom himself,i do not believe thanos would have died in the event(i dont have the comic with me,so it might have been a special black hole,one at the center of the universe or somthin)
so......
Thanos wins 8/10 i give malestrom 2 wins for the feat of taking a shot from the IG- just my opinon

Cool. I know Maelstrom is an Inhuman/Deviant(Celestial creations). He can absorb basically anything.
I didn't understand how Maelstrom survived that One IG blast from Thanos,
but after researching the incident I became aware that Maelstrom
aside from his own personal power,
absorbed the Status and Power of the Anomaly,
had Quasar's Quantum Bands,
was empowered by Oblivion, after becoming his Agent.
had Eon's absolute Cosmic Consciousness (Knowledge is Power)
Still Maelstrom himself felt he was Not more powerful than the IG:

Thanos then blasts Maelstrom, Maelstrom survives and disappears:
Does this mean that Maelstrom is more powerful than the IG because he survived ONE blast?

According to the Anomaly's Bio, the Concept of Anomaly is completely indestructible, it's the ONE special case in all existence.
Why?
Because the Anomaly is just that, an Anomaly = Unlike ALL Other things,
and ALL Other Things were a joke to Thanos's IG.
