He was tricked by Quasar and absorbed by the Quantum bands.

Mr. M, those bands are pretty unique. 🙂

I didn't understand how Maelstrom survived that One IG blast from Thanos,

but after researching the incident I became aware that Maelstrom

aside from his own personal power,

absorbed the Status and Power of the Anomaly,

had Quasar's Quantum Bands,

was empowered by Oblivion, after becoming his Agent.

had Eon's absolute Cosmic Consciousness (Knowledge is Power)

Still Maelstrom himself felt he was Not more powerful than the IG:

Maelstrom does taunt Thanos anyway:

Thanos then blasts Maelstrom, Maelstrom survives and disappears:

Does this mean that Maelstrom is more powerful than the IG because he survived ONE blast?

According to the Anomaly's Bio, the Concept of Anomaly is completely indestructible, it's the ONE special case in all existence.

Why?

Because the Anomaly is just that, an Anomaly = Unlike ALL Other things,

and ALL Other Things were a joke to Thanos's IG.

btw

Maelstrom was able to kill the Sentience of the Abstract Anomaly,

but Not it's Conceptual purpose, (atleast there's no proof he could)

Could it also be that Thanos was still learning the power of the IG?

That's true WWK.

How you doing dogs?

Been a while.

He didn't.

He only killed the Sentience, not the Concept.

Well how did he kill the sentience?

He choked the M-body to death.

How in the hell would that kill the sentience?

So since Maelstrom is the new Sentience, couldn't Thanos choke him to death?

Maelstrom wasn't just the Anomaly.

He had the Power of Quasar's Quantum Bands.

Had Eon's Cosmic Awareness.

He was backed by Oblivion.

And he's considerably powerul in his own right (although Thanos will curbstomp this version)

Actually I have an issue where Maelstrom and Thanos battled, I should of just posted it.

The thing is, it mostly takes place off-panel, but there are a few Panels of them fighting, he seemed to be holding his own more or less.

I'll post it in a bit.

Is this what you're talking about?

The M-body contains the Life-Force and Sentience of the Concept it embodies.

Kill the M-body, you kill the Sentience, but evidently the Life-Force/Power and status remains, at least long enough for Maelstrom to usurp it's position as the new Anomaly.

What's silly is, when Maelstrom was absorbed by the Quantum Bands, mysteriously the Original Sentience returns to the Anomaly Off Panel.

My question is,

where the heck was that Sentience in the meantime?

Thanks, Galan. What issue is that from?

Maybe TOAA brought it back.

Was that Thanos at normal power, or was he boosted somehow?

So i see you've finally seen the light and have listened to me and Leonidas when we tried to drill into your head the fact that Mbodys arent the totality of a concept?

Thats cool. 🙂

GS, who wins between Thanos(IG) and Maelstrom(Anomaly)

I never listened to one word you said.

I made my own research and developed my own understanding.

So don't give yourself props unearned. 🙂

btw. The M-body IS the Totality of the Concept!

Now, and until Marvel says otherwise. 😎

blowup

and in the fight it's debateable, i suppose. not sure why anomaly is considered more indestructible than any other mbody.

oh, as regards the 'slain' mbody: malestrom killed the body then usurped the sentience to take possession of the conceptual position. he did exactly the same thing thanos did when thanos usurped the position of eternity.

once the usurper was defeated the sentience returned to its rightful position because it had never been 'killed' at all. just thrust to the side and taken over (possessed) by a stronger force.

least that's this guy's humble opinion. 🙂
