So don't take what I'm about to say as me commenting on you as a person. Just your opinion/reaction to this.

First off, only one woman was brought into this. You then brought yourself into it, and no one reffered to you in any degrading way. Secondly, nobody was singled out. If you look back at the post, he also happened to refer to me as gay. Am I upset? Hell no. And not just because Martian's my friend. Because it was a joke. If anything, you singled out the females, not us. You did so by not caring about any of the jokes that were made in the post, or are ever made around here, except for the ones that joke around about a woman. Notice I then called Hercules a gigolo? Nobody cared. It's just that when a girl's called something a little rude because people are ribbing other people in the name of good humor, that there has to be an uproar. It's blatantly chauvinistic. It has nothing to do with the fact that there are fewer of you on the forum, or that your gender is different. In the eyes of an online comic, you're the same as everyone else. You single yourself out.

Well the difference is I insinuated it not flat out said the words, I also insinuated that me and him had a "special" relationship, making myself part of the joke.

I also wouldn't have made the joke if I didn't know Sym very well and thought he would take offense.

I know what you and MM did was very similar, problem I had with it was, I find the actual word when directed at a woman offensive and if I had thought for one second you or MM meant it in any other way than a joke I would have been VERY hostile.

As it was, I just let it be known that I appreciated it was a joke but that I didn't find the word funny.

I'm old fashioned though, I was bought up to respect women in a way that is considered out of date now.

The way I look at it is, you can call me what you like, It doesn't bother me but when you start insulting women, thats when I will say something.

It may be a double standard but hey, thats how my mother raised me, to respect and protect the opposite sex.

Even though to be fair, niether Kaya or Marea need my help to stick up for them, they just get it anyway.

You're a good bloke in my book Smurf and so is MM, you have a sharp cutting wit that not everyone gets, that is where the whole thing blew up from.
