Well, that's just the problem with tourneys.

If Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Beta Ray Bill and Kryptonite Man enter the tourney, while Superman can beat everyone in the tourney except for Kryptonite Man, who would lose to everyone but Superman... so, Superman would be the winner, unless he runs into KM in the first round.

Similar problems can happen in tourneys.
