Ghazal Omid is a former Muslim woman who was blamed for her own rape, and then disowned by her Muslim Family.

She wrote a book entitled "Living in Hell" where she reveals the atrocities that women endure in Islamic culture: thier lack of freedom, thier inequality, the injustice towards them.

The fault lies in the culture of the people not necessarily the religion itself...

umm, I never said anything bout MY society( I am NOT from India), I am talking about many if not all islamic societies.

Lets get some common ground here, IN THEORY men and women are supposed to be equal, BUT IN PRACTISE in many places it is far from it. That sound better?

Also , Notice, I dont say anything about hinduism nor india. Why? Cause I know that they are also full of faults. Unlike fatima and muslimscholar I will never make the claim that it is a perfect religion and all that nonesense. I will not come here and say that only to have all the imperfections , that I very well know of, thrown back at me. I only use the parts that are useful to others in here.

Since when did the Hadiths and the Shairia change? Please don't try to misslead. Its not nice.

Sunni believe that the first four caliphs - Mohammed's successors, rightfully took his place as the leaders of Muslims and Shiites, believe that only the heirs of the fourth caliph, Ali, are the legitimate successors of Mohammed.

The other differance is Mahdi - Shiites he has already been here, and will return from hiding and for Sunnis he has yet to emerge into history.

So the differance between these two branches ends there. Qurand, Hadith and Sharia are still the same.
