I do believe in the Bible, but your question can be applied to any religious text.

I was thinking the other day about people that are not believers of God and the Quran as His written word. And I was wondering what then those people think the contents of the Quran are/were. Do you that don't believe it is the written word of God believe that those writings were written when claimed? Do you think they were just "stories" written years ago? I am curious. So to answer your question, as I have applied it to all non-Bible scripture including the Tao te Ching, Quran, Poetic Edda, Younger Edda, Kitáb-i-Aqdas, Tipitaka, Œruti, Smriti, Tattvartha Sutra, etc. Insofar as they hold truth, they are "given by inspiration of God, and are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works" (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
