I wasn't involved in the hard/difficult debate. I was debating the hard/trying hard. If you're honestly looking for things to reply to, pick things you weren't wrong on.
You specifically told me I was wrong in saying you were trying hard, simply because you thought it was the same definition as the word. I told you what I THOUGHT was right, I didn't tell you that you were wrong.
Why step in and kid around? To lighten the mood, presumably, but for whom? Obviously the mood is fine for the people involved, and if you don't like it, then don't participate in the thread. It's rude to go in and alter the mood simply because you dislike it.
Like walking into a bar where everyone is already smoking and asking them to put their cigarettes out.

It's a factually accurate analogy though, and you never answered my question. So please do. Why enter an environment you dislike the feel of them, rather than leave, try to change the atmosphere for your own benefit? It's rude.
As for me, I'm debating cos there's a debate to be had, or a "discussion" rather. I'm not here saying the OTF needs to be serious, you have done so in the GDF. I'm not here changing the mood for my benefit, the mood changed incidentally, it wasn't an intention of mine.
