"It is very logical of you although do you know what is behind the door?"

"No. The Door has been there since the Matrix's creation, but although I know much of the Matrix I was not involved in its construction, opposed as I was to it existing."

"Do you actually know what is behind the door, though? Though I understand why you don`t want to tell us.

And you have the title of King. King of what? I wonder if you have your subjects, like every King should."

"I see of course not only does it make the most sense in the long term but it also makes the most sense in the short term. As of right now we are trapped in these mountains and we have no way to travel. The door would probably be our only chance of escape unless you can think of a better way dear king."

"None. You will not survive a journey walking back to the City. The System will be able to throw continual resources against you, and you are low on supplies and rest."

"And you have the title of King. King of what? I wonder if you have your subjects, like every King should."

"A fair question, and one that will soon be answered. I feel that the time for talking is coming to an end."

"So goin through the door is really our only option for survival and possibly a great treasure for our cause. You do manage to paint a very good picture of need."

Bererker then hears the King say the time for talking is almost over, "And by the way what is wrong with talking I was enjoying talking with you I don't want the talking to end yet. I haven't even gotten the chance to go over my Superhero theory yet."

"All things have their time. And... ah! Listen... they are coming..."

Wait, there IS a faint noise, in the background. A kind of continuous scratching?

Berserker listens to the noise coming.

Berserker looks at the king, " At least tell me they aren't giant bugs I hate bugs."

"What is coming?" San asks.

"I really don't like this..." she adds a bit more quietly.

"My subjects are coming. The ones who came with me in my Exile."

Berserker looks over to his friends and jokeingly says, "I wish I had loyal followers like that guy. I guess we know why he is a King now."

"Your subjects? Well, in my experience anything coming at us while we're in the Matrix is something that's going to try and kill us. So, are we actually going to be able to follow your advice and open the door?" San asks. "Because if they followed you into exile then I think it's a fair assumption that they believe the same thing you do about how the war should have been ended."

"They do, but for much... simpler reasons. They were not Exiled, they were to be deleted. I brought them with me. Their loyalty to me is very strong."

"So good King what would be your strategy for success in this moment if you were us," Berserker asks, "Oh well I didn't think you would answer."

"I would fight for your life. They are very uncompromising; they still have but one desire. And alone amongst artificial intelligences in this place, they refused to take human form..."

Berserker in a sarcastic tone, "Thanks for the great insight Schishcabob or whatever your name is I never could have thought of that one. Like I said just as long as they aren't Bugs I don't care about their form."

Berserker reaches forth and revering the blades taakes them in his hands.

"I knew that this was going to be a bad idea..." San says, hands on her knives. "I'd be willing to bed they're like sentinels..."

"They ARE Sentinels. My army."

"Are Sentinels a true Artificial Intelligence? And why they were to be deleted, their purpose didn`t end, i think-were they to be replaced by new models?

And is this a test for us?"
