Putting it all together...spoilers

"I'm beginning to think I don't want to see this film afterall...I think I'll just stick with DMC and all my wonderful fantasies about would could be between Jack and liz...

I am really starting to dislike all of this...I don't want Liz to marry Will...I don't even like seeing her kiss Will...I hate it that the only reason she may have kissed Jack was to save Will.....how can so much passion between two people be pushed aside and swept under the carpet.....

I was so estatic about the trailer on Monday...and now, I've come crashing down...just some things I;ve heard lately doesn't make me feel too good...

all my hopes of more great j/l moments have been dashed..it seems that moment in the trailer is the only one we're going to get...and it's just before the end...when she tells everybody bye...before she goes to the island to be alone in her misery over Willl and pinning away for him for every 10 years...some kick-ass ending to such a hyped up movie...yuck.."------lovethemtigers

I can kind of understand, lovethemtigers. I went to go see the Phantom of the Opera movie and I had read the book and listened to the soundtrack and the book is a little different from the movie. I was very disappointed with the movie's ending and the pairing that I like will sadly never be a film (the Phantom and Meg for anyone that knows about it). But I tried to look at all the positive things about the movie and it actually is a beautiful, artistic film about love, which is what it is supposed to be.

POTC is an action-adventure very, very character-driven. T&T write wonderfully realistic and unique characters and they usually know what they're doing with them. All I can say is to keep the faith that things won't be disappointing. This is going to be epic, astounding, mind-boggling. In the event Will and Liz live happily ever after, you will have to be able to see the beauty in that because there is a beauty to their relationship. Think how many people were rooting for Luke to get with Leia and then when Return of the Jedi came out they learned she was his sister. It's just something that needs to be overlooked in comparison to the good things. Ask yourself if you liked COTBP. If you did (odds are you did), you will like AWE. But don't give up on J/E. They'll live on in love in our imaginations if nowhere else.

maybe I should just stay off of this forum so I don't bring the rest of you girls down that are being so hopefull...I 'm just older and more cynical....and I jsut don't see it working out between Jack and liz...ted and terry mean for it to be Will and Elizabeth..and they have said that all along....Jack was just thrown into the mix to show that not all love is smooth and easy as it appeared in COTBP....Will is brave, noble and heroic...and Jack is just a grimy old Pirate after all....who loves freedom...and it's just us small minority that thinks Jack can find freedom through loving Elizabeth....but today I finally realized that I think I;ve just been fooling myself all these months...cuz I want Jack and Elizabeth to be in love...and I just think it is a figment of my imagination....she point blank tells Jack...It would never have worked out between us...she seems very determined and tired...like it's time he start listening to her and leave her alone.....

I'm sorry...I won't post anymore...until i'm feeling more positive again....which could be tomorrow morning after a good night's sleep....

Just don't listen to the rumors, lovethemtigers. As far as I'm concerned, the only things set in stone are what's in the trailer, and even those scenes can eventually be cut out. "Nothing is written!"

I'm sorry girls...I'm just so tired.....like I said...the trailer must have pushed me over edge..I just can't analyse anymore...i've been disecting this movie for 8 months now..and I thought I understood what ted and terry were trying to accomplish..and I have so many romantic endings in my head and in my heart...but it's just not the same as actually seeing the real thing on screen....I just want Jack to be happy and he doens't really seem all that happy when he says "keep telling yourself that, darling".....

1. We have no idea where in the movie that is.
2. We have no idea what happens after that exchange.
3. We have no idea what happens before that exchange.
4. Rumors circulate by both W/Es and J/Es so few "credible" theories are really that credible.
5. We have no idea why at this moment Jack is upset (well, we do, but we don't know what's bringing it out so particularly obvious here)

So, not to sound condescending, but nobody here really knows anything. There's no certainty to anything you may hear.

but in this one he does have a scar...hmmm it think we might have something here....

It could be from more whipping/torture when Will is in captivity.

Battle scars with the scene at the end of the film, perhaps?

Very well could be. I watched the trailer again looking specifically at Will and I don't see any scars on him in any other shot, so this shot here must happen fairly late in the movie.

Audio - Could be. Doubtful, but could be. But he does look decidedly annoyed, perhaps evil in that picture.

Hi.I hope there wlll be a Sparrabeth ending.Otherwise why were all those things in DMC:marriage interrupted,fate intervened,Jack vexed by Elizabeth,the chemistry between him and Liz etc.I have to tell you I like Will,but Jack is better. I'm sure Liz loves Will.I think he was her first love.But as it is with first loves,it's usually a bit idealistic and it does not necessarily last for a life time.She has to grow up emotionaaly.She has to decide,and it's not only about Will or Jack,but about how she wants to live her life.

Well, plus, it's supposed to be ambigious. The way Teague is written is so that you never know for sure whether he really is or not, it's up to the audience to decide whether they think he's Jack's father. I don't think Ted and Terry like that Johnny and Keith kept saying that Teague was Jack's dad and ruining that decision for the audience to make.

Terry says it's a "kickass" ending and if Terry says it's a "kickass" ending, then a "kickass" ending it shall be. Don't lose faith, we don't know everything yet.

I think that scene is early on in the battle before he even stabs the heart so...
