Also, after Thor broke the little thing around his neck, it was basically back to a normal power (clone) Thanos. While Thor was still in the belt of strength, and in the Odin Power armour...
Also, did you read the rest of the series?

Because Thor earlier shown that he could do nothing to Thanos...

So obviously the power-up should mean nothing... shouldn't it?

You seem to forget that comic fights against two popular characters are sort of staged. The writer LOWERS the more powerful fighter's power/speed and HEIGHTENS the less powerful fighter just so the fight is close or people wouldn't buy the comic. It's happened since comics were first made.

Go by NON-combat feats for Superman and NON combat feats for Thanos. Clearly Thanos is slower and he's not more durable.

Thanos doesn't have even CLOSE to Superman's speed.

Thor completely bloodlusted... with the PG bloodied his nose...

Surfer fought Thanos like he fights everyone, and he got his ass kicked...
Hell... let's look at Surfer, and Thanos's similar feats and compare them, since Thanos gets overpowered in their fights, and Surfer gets underpowered... shall we, and see how great your logic is:
Thanos beat Thor and Thing.
Surfer has some fights with Thing, and he has never beaten Thor under normal powers.

Thanos one-punched Thing.
Surfer has had some hard fights with Thing (so has Thor though).

Thanos took some of Odin's best blows (oh ya, this also goes against your bullshit no duribility theory).
Surfer got one-shotted by a tiny blast...

Thanos (under his own power, as of after the fight), stalemated/lost a fight with Tyrant, but he never went down (again, goes against your bullshit no duribility on his own theory).
Surfer, Gladiator, Beta Ray Bill, all got their asses handed to them when Tyrant was toying with them.

Thanos knocked Galactus through his ship, down onto the planet, and he bouced quite a bit...
Surfer... well... can't even make Galactus flinch, even though he has attacked Galactus many times...

Thanos stood toe to toe with WM Thor with the Power Gem...
Surfer got beat by just WM Thor (no Power Gem).

Surfer had a hard time destroying the Mouth Piece of Death.
Thanos destroyed it like he was just silencing it...

Oh, of course though... it is such a stretch to say that that indeed wasn't bullshit writing, for him to beat Surfer to death basically...

And Superman's comics are selling just fine. In fact, doing so well just launched two new titles recently in Superman Confidential, and All Star Superman... that just won the Eisner Award for best new book..

um I wasn't quite sure how he was doing, and you led me to believe he was going bad because you thought the idea of supes being a cash cow was crazy, so I just thought that you had the opposite option. were you agreeing with me then that supes does make a lot of money for DC and I was just misreading to mean you thought i was stupid for believe that he does? any way the point is still there that supes does a ton of PIS feats because he is popular just like wolverine, spiderman, and batman.
