Didn't we see the likes of the Source, Constantine (Cameo) in his series? Those are apart of the DCU.
The only parts of Luficer's story that exist in the DCU are the ones that appeared in Sandman, and the ones that appeared in DCU books like The Spectre where we see the two angels that took over for Lucifer after he gave up ruling Hell [which happened in the Sandman book prior to Lucifer's solo series], and him meeting Lucifer on the beach, both of which happened much before the Lucifer solo book. . . The Lucifer Vertigo book has been entirely ignored. It's completely self-contained. Even Constantine, another Vertigo book, doesn't acknowledge it as far as I've seen. Lucifer's solo book references DCU things offhandedly a couple times, and gives nods to Gaiman's work left and right, but there isn't a single other title out there that has referenced Luficer, it's pretty much a completely self contained homage to Gaiman.

on a sidenote, the only 'happenings' specific to DC that i can remember from lucifer's series were in issue #12. this is the issue which referenced both the source and the aleph.

By tiers:1. Primal Monitor/Presence/GEB
2. Source/Word/Voice/Wally/Synnar/God Swamp Thing/Carnivore
3. Michael/Lucifer/Nekron(?)
4. COiE Anti-Monitor/Mandrakk(depowered)/CA Supes(?)
5. Mxy/Radiant(?)/Spectre(w/ host)? -- not sure
slightly below the 'true' supreme being(s) of DC, but WELL above everything else.

I agree, but that's why I said it happens in the realm of the DCU. I'd say Lucifer is apart of the DC Multiverse or Omniverse. However you want to look at it.
