iirc he (and Michael) took a multiverse-bustin blast @ point blank with no prob
In Lucifer's example it was a controlled detonation in which he knew he would survive. We also saw far less badly damage him.

i'm talking more about the direction of the book and his character. a lot can be explored, but probably never will, for reasons at the end of his series.
