oKAY...i'm tired of giving concrete evidence from the films and you say it's speculation..ted and terry even say so in their commentaries...I'm not arguing anymore..cuz it doenst' really matter..
all that matters...is we think jack and elizabeth are soulmates and belong together...and have a heck of alot more in common than her and old excellent saprano boy.....
FATE INTERVENED.....BECKETT SAID IT...and yes, rogue, I am yelling...
The compass pointed to jack...as far as elizabeth and the audience is concerned....
the compass isn't working for jack..because he knows what he wants but is loathed to claim it as his own....
elizabeth is getting more and more like jack every day..
they are very much alike....
ah...why am i doing this....we know what we find to be concrete evidence that jack and liz belong together...and that's all we are saying Surreal and Kenny..that we think j and e belong together based on all the things t and t revealed to us over the past two films....the obvious is that its will and elizabeth....but it's what is just under the surface, all the clues ted and terry implanted into DMC to tie in with POTC...and then some extras that stand alone in DMC.....they are taking risks with this third installment...going places a Disney film never thought possible....
Gravitation: If you were referring to my statement about J/E being in love and that one sentence doesn't work for them, then yes, it applies to W/E as well. The original question was (and I'm paraphrasing here), "How could Will know that he'd die for Elizabeth? How do they know that they are in love?"
I responded that sometimes you just KNOW that you're in love, that the person you're looking at is part of your soul. There is no way to define love, because it's all the grandest things in the world, and often it's the smaller things, and sometimes it's just plain silly things that make it all up. 😄
But then I wanted to know how you could define J/E's love, and the answer (for me at least) is that you can't. 😄
Lovethemtigers: I get tired of the debate as well, but if you'd look at ALL the comments of TnT and not just ignore the statements that don't support your ship, you might come to a different conclusion about J/E.
I don't think J/E is any less important than W/E, and I'm not saying that J/E isn't an interesting pairing. They are important, and they are a fascinating pair, and honestly, once I take shipping out of my mind, they are a lot of fun to watch together on screen.
My opinion is no less valid than yours, and your opinion is no less valid than mine.
Besides, I'm waiting for TnT to really surprise me and have Liz go for Norrington. 😄 That'd be unexpected, wouldn't it? 😆

Keep waiting, darlin' 😄
Surreal, we are not overlooking Ted and Terry's comments. Their statements also doesn't indicate about willabeth either or norribeth. We love TnT, but you are making us feel as we don't have respect for them. We don't ignore their comments.
I know that some of us are not film studies students or writers. But we do respect them as writers. But doesn't mean that we are suck ups either...
