This is one of the reasons I don't like mutants that much anymore. It seems like one by one, they are getting outrageous upgrades that make them more powerful than anything in the universe. The Summers family in particular. They have Phoenix, Rachel, Vulcan, Nate, Cable, Hyperstorm, and Havok. It's getting a little carried away.

Way back in the day, Merlyn dealt with King Arthur in Marvel actually, the whole camelot bit was depicted on panel, (lady of the lake and the whole nine) since then the Sword Excalibur has changed hands, and it's power has been elevated quite dramatically.
Arthur was able to pierce any metal, crack any other sword slash boulders in two, reflect lightning, things along those lines.
But Excalibre as it's spelled now, can Alter Reality, combine it with the Amulet of Right, and you can Re-Write the Omniverse,
IF ... you're worthy. 😄
