Any opinions on Summerslam? haermm

SuperOrton defeating Christian was a forgone conclusion. there's just no way they were going to let Orton NOT have the last laugh in a feud. Christian winning should've led to more interesting things, like a feud with newface Sheamus.
Edge returning was a nice little surprise 🙂

Sheamus vs Mark Henry: as it was i couldn't care too much about the feud but that he lost via countout is even lamer. at least it stretches it out for another few weeks but frankly Sheamus should be out there fighting Christian for the title...oh wait 😐

Kelly-holyshit-is-she-uncoordinated-Kelly beating Phoenix was just horrible booking. but then, it follows the usual WWE motif: people who can't wrestle>people who can wrestle

CM Punk vs John Cena: not as good as their MITB match but still fun. ending was just horrible though. they just can't have Cena get pinned clean. an already horrible finish was made worse by Del Rio cashing in on Punk. was I the only one who didn't give a shit about Nash returning?

anyone watched Raw? THAT was such a fail of a show. John Cena going out there pretending that HE deserves the title even though he lost? Punk not even mentioning anything about rematches?

CM Punk/Nash segment was fail all thanks to Nash's idiotic mic work (punk's "OMG kevin nash WTF thought he was dead LOL" was gold though).

Anyone else feel WWE really cocked up their best storyline in years in just a matter of three weeks? 😕

I agree with basically everything you said. ermmnone

The only thing is anything Punk does is great by default.

I stopped watching wrestling years ago. Not enough top tier guys, and the ones they do have are way over exposed.

Agreed, though CM Punk has been on fire lately. They seem to be putting up a new effort to "give us what we want" though.

CM Punk is on fire but the new angle with Nash is fail. Unless Punk's going after the Trips and the authority through Nash, this is the worst burying I've seen since Edge won his first champion against SuperSaiyan Cena.

Oh, and does anyone see Alberto Del Rio holding on to the title anything more than a month? he's already made to look like a chump and I, personally, never thought of him as championship material to be honest. he's kinda...bland.

Eh, what I think is WWE gave in and put the belt on Punk to please the IWC. That was the entire Punk/Cena angle from late June to now. We liked it, but the ratings and PPV buys said otherwise, so they put Punk into a feud with Nash to keep us interested, and then put the belt on Del Rio for the Mexican tour, while keeping Cena close to keep the ratings higher.

They should just let Nash retire like he wants. Let Cena have at least one year where he isn't champ, let the younger stars shine, and keep some of the vets on standby for mixed story lines.

I used to love wrestling. Watching The Undertaker, in his old deadman persona, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels going at it at WM in a iron man match. It was ****ing brilliant back then.

@Barker: what's up with the ratings? i thought MITB did really well in terms of sales from what I heard 😕

@Thoren: Yeah, WWE's been in slump for years now. I'd even go so far as saying that the "wrestling" aspect was even in decline during the attitude era given that the three biggest stars of that era were Stone Cold, The Rock and Triple H...all three of whom are actually pretty limited wrestlers in terms of repertoire and technique. they were great "entertainers" but never great "wrestlers". what we're seeing today is pretty much just the next level of that: actual wrestling has taken a backseat to entertainment. now, it's just that even the entertainment has become mediocre.

speaking of which, in the last decade, i think besides Kurt Angle, there hasn't been a HBK/Taker kind of blend of entertainer AND wrestler at all. Punk fits the bill but bad booking phucked him up for the longest time. I mean, shit, look at the champs we've had (besides SuperCena and WonderOrton):

Jack Thwagger: decent wrestler, still hasn't found "it" yet
Jeff Hardy: limited wrestler, sucked at promos
Dolph Ziggler: decent wrestler, still seems mid-card to me
The Miz: limited wrestler, good at promos but still feels mid-card
Sheamus: limited wrestler, meh at promos, still hasn't found "it"
Rey Mysterio: good wrestler, sucks at promos, rode the "eddie RIP" wave to the championship but never really seemed credible as champ because of the booking. the Cena burying a few weeks back didn't help his case
JBL: eternal mid-carder, had no business being champ

that's when you know you're in trouble, when virtually all the "new blood" spans either "limited wrestler" or "decent wrestler".

Jon Robinson: There are so many guys in the WWE right now that you never had a chance to wrestle. If you could come back and wrestle any guy at Wrestlemania who you've never previously had a match with, who would it be?

Brock Lesnar: Ironically it's probably the guy that walked out on me. The guy that took his ball and went home. A guy that I was supposed to face and I think that he was just plain downright scared to get in the ring with me because he was one of those guys that was on top and saw a huge threat in Brock Lesnar at the time. That's "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. I worked with everybody and anybody that was anybody there and if I came back, I think the guy that I would come back to fight is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

The closest things we have to wrestlers/entertainers of Shawn Michaels' quality is CM Punk and Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan.

Speaking of Daniel Bryan:

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE already has tentative plans in place for the PPV events leading up to WrestleMania 28 next year in Miami.

It has already been announced that The Rock will team up with John Cena in a traditional tag team elimination match at this year's Survivor Series PPV, and it's being said that a scramble match featuring Sheamus, Christian, Kane, Randy Orton, Mark Henry and Big Show is expected to be added to the card.

Creative has also been discussing a potential Tables, Ladders and Chairs match between Mark Henry and Big Show for WWE's TLC PPV in December.

As for the Royal Rumble, it's being said that the winner has already been decided on, and it's someone from the Smackdown brand. At one point Randy Orton's name was being discussed, but that has not been confirmed.

The tentative plan right now is to have the winner of the Royal Rumble win the World Title prior to WrestleMania, and then go on to defend it against Daniel Bryan at the big PPV.

Take it with a pinch of salt, but that would be brilliant, depending on who his opponent is. Could you imagine a 60 minute epic with Punk?

The two main rumors have Orton winning the Rumble, then the belt at Elimination Chamber and defending against Bryan at WM, or Henry holding the belt until WM and defending against Sheamus..

Am I the only one who thinks Ziggler cuts awesome promos? The guy is charismatic as ****. You really get a feel for how he is in Z!TLIS.

foreveralone

Vengance was awesome, I almost feel bad for streaming it instead of ordering it.

On RAW, the sledge shot to HHH just left me shaking my head. With all the crazy absurd stuff that happens in "Sports Entertainmet", for some reason that whole segment just came across so negatively. I'm usually easy going about whatever WWE gives me but that was so badly done even for WWE terms. At least they didn't have HHH's limo explode and he died...now that would just be ridiculous!

He’s definitely improving. I actually care to listen what he has to say and I couldn’t say that one time.

* Raw just got ROCKED! 🙂

* The Rock outshines all! http://www.wwe.com/shows/survivorseries/

Me myself and my bro was always crazy for Rock...since he left wrestling...we left watching it...but once a while. earlier we used to catch it for Triple H and his girlfriend....🙂
