I think Reigns is good at what he does, ie, big power moves, and little talking.

They're pushing him way too hard, way too fast though, imo.

Even Cena didn't get pushed like this.

WWE 2K15 roster reveal looked good. Gameplay videos looked nice too. Fingers crossed, the game lives up to the hype, and the Yukes team doesn't drag it down.

Exactly, I dont want to hate Reigns but when you have a guy who no sells all yhreats and uses the same moves in the same order in the same spots in the ring... i just go bananas.

While i get what you're saying, you just described so many top guys over the years. Its what the business does, for better or worse. Many times worse.

And i agree with -pr- on the pushing.
Much as i'm enjoying it, i realize the potential for disaster.
Like drinking too much on a work night...

I dislike the fact all of his matches are set up perfectly for the hard camera side, and believe me i know that sounds like b1tch stuff but it just takes me out of the moment.

He hits the Superman punch and drape kick from the bottom left and he calls the spear from the top right 95% of the time. It's just way to forced.

Like i said, no differentbthan most top huys, current and past.
Not everyone has a move set where they get you in a hundred different ways.
I'd argue that WWE actively discourages it, actually.

I get what your saying about the "5 moves of Doom" but Roman doesn't do anything else. He just feels very green and him using literally one wrestling move.

I dont deny his limited move set at all.
But, i dont think its going to hold him back. And, like i said he wont be the first top guy to get there WITH a limited move set.
So, not really a negative in my book.

Also, thanks for understanding AND being able TO understand me.
I fat fingered the hell out of that last post...😂

Are you talking about Nash? Nash was the lowest drawing face of a company. Cena really isn't limited so much as he is sloppy.

I wasnt thinking of anyone in particular, and i never factor in box office numbers when i talk wrestling. I hate when HHH does that to put people down.

Oh, yeah H does that in worked promos but it's not a fair comparison.

Imho those are the true only faces of the company.

I honestly don't consider HHH to have been a big draw, tbh. I always felt like he was the guy that worked with the guy that drew all the money. Austin, Rock, Taker, Cena etc. Even later on with Punk, Hardy and Bryan. I'm not saying he didn't bring in any money, but I wouldn't consider him to be one of the top draws in the company, even at his peak.

As far as Reigns goes, my biggest gripe with him is that I just don't think he's ready. He seems like a really nice, earnest guy, but he hasn't done what almost every major guy in the company has done before: Paid his dues. Hart, Michaels, HHH, Rock, Austin, Cena etc, all had to start at the bottom and bite and scratch to get to the top. Even Hogan went to Japan to hone his craft.

Reigns, since he debuted, has been going over the biggest names in the company as part of the Shield. He hasn't had to languish in the mid-card, and he hasn't put in the time and effort that a lot of guys have, and who should be pushed before him. I'm not calling him lazy, I'm just saying he needs more time. He needs to work on promos. His selling is sloppy. His technique and range is very limited right now. He can improve. He should improve. I just fear he won't, and he'll end up as hated as Cena is right now.

So, Summerslam...

Miz and Ziggler was top drawer. One of the best examples of a true face v heel match, great psychology and back and forth, and right up until the end, I didn't know who was going to win. Two guys who are SEVERELY underrated imo.

Aj and Paige was a really good match. One of the best divas matches I've seen in a while. Surprising finish, but that DDT... Brutal looking.

Ambrose and Rollins had probably the match of the night. I hated that it was a Lumberjack match, but they totally changed my mind by using the lumberjacks the way they did. Ambrose got screwed, and can now take off his three months to make his movie.

Rusev going over Swagger? Never saw it coming, especially at Summerslam. Never would have considered it to be likely, and when that flag came down I was honestly expecting Kurt Angle to come out and **** Rusev up.

Jericho and Wyatt put on a good, solid match. Some nice spots, some nice psychology, and though the end wasn't a surprise, I thought it was well worked.

Stephanie v Brie? Predictable end, but I have to admit, Stephanie can go surprisingly well. It was no clinic, but she was every bit Brie's equal, and for a woman of her age, she was surprisingly solid in the ring.

Orton v Reigns... ****. The one disappointment I had all night. Orton brought out the best in Reigns and made him look like a ****ing star, and that RKO was a thing of beauty... But the match should have ended there. If Reigns has more matches like this, he'll be easier to stomach, but man... I really thought Randy deserved it for what was arguably the best individual performance of the night.

The main event... I have no words. Not really. I have never, in my almost quarter of a century watching wrestling, seen a champion get so utterly dominated in the ring. I don't know if it was Cena's choice or Vince's, but holy shit, Lesnar straight up mauled Cena. I seriously don't know what they're going to do, but I sincerely hope it isn't Reigns v Lesnar.

The rumor going around is Bryan returning for thr rumble, that's my guess.

I'd been wondering that too, but I'm not sure they'd go the whole "David and Goliath" way with it.

They'd have an epic as **** match, though. Bryan is one seriously tough SOB.

Get the U.S. Title on Rusev and give Swagger an opportunity to chase for redemption.

Wasnt into this show, though it was entertaing.
Most of the folks i wanted over lost. Ah well, at least i got Reigns and Ziggler.

The only Championship domination i ever saw like Cena's was a tag match where Andre and Haku took out Demolition.

I agree with whoever it was that said that while Reigns has a limited moveset, he won't be held back. The thing that Reigns does have is aura, which is pretty important. I love the guy, because I am a huge fan of all 3 members of the Shield (Ambrose being my fave), but he is being pushed really, really fast and they should have held back a little on it. He does have presence, though.

I really enjoyed Summerslam this year. Ambrose vs Rollins was easily match of the night, and while there were a couple matches I didn't care for, the rest of them delivered. I loved seeing Steph back in the ring after all these years, and seeing the Brock brutality is always entertaining.

Aura is honestly kayfabe. If Sin cara started beating everyone with heart punches he'd have an aura as well.

AWESOME F**KING MAIN EVENT. Ambrose and Rollins delivered. This is a main event. With the exception of Corporate sh!tty a$$ Kane of course.

It was awesome, no doubt about it. They did a good job of making sure Ambrose would be kayfabe injured too, so that he could go do his movie.

Pretty good Ziggler/Miz match yet again, though it feels like they're stalling until NOC.

The 6-man tag was good, as surprising as the finish was.

My boy Ryback got some love. Also lol at Jbl saying people only like Lesnar because he won, suggesting Cena only gets cheers for the same reason.
