I still like Roman. He can put on some great matches. The problem is (like it is with many wrestlers in the WWE) is that they're not using him right.

yeah I agree but i can't get over that he's always booked to win and basically be the new cena but with even less charisma. imo he should have turned heel after mania, the fact nothing really changed after he ended taker's career is just kinda sad.

predictions for MITB:

baron corbin to win mens mitb

becky lynch to win womens mitb

new day to win the titles

naomi to retain

and jinder to retain championship

besides the actual mitb matches i'm not excited for much else

Right. Like I said, Roman is just booked poorly. He's just doing what Vince tells him to do. And the rumor mill going around is that Roman is supposed to face either John Cena or Goldberg at Summerslam.

Honestly, I found that entire PPV to be almost the end of WCW bad level. The women's MITB match ended too early and that ending was a "What?" moment. The New Day vs. Usos ending in a double count-out was a bad choice considering the ending of your last match also ended badly (it's obvious they're saving this for Summerslam). Naomi vs. Lana was just a bad match. So right off the bat, MITB started with 3 disappointments back-to-back.

Jinder Mahal vs. Orton was just like their previous match at Backlash, even ending pretty much identical. Breezango vs. the Ascension was rushed too fast and never had a moment for anyone to shine. The only saving grace was the main event MITB match. Of course if Roman was taken out at the beginning of the match and came back to destroy everyone, everyone would be whining up a storm. But when Shinsuke does it, it's okay.

Oh! And I forgot that an episode of Smackdown! Live popped up on the PPV in the form of Maria and Mike. So this showed you that WWE didn't have enough going for it to warrant this PPV at all. Not the usual length of a PPV at least.

I agree with almost all you've said. The problem with Roman/Shinsuke part is muddled.

For one, I couldn't tell you who it was that took Roman out of the match for so long. Was it during something interesting? How did it happen? The fact that Shinsuke has arguably the biggest and most theatrical entrance every time he goes out that everyone wants to experience only gave Corbin more massive heel heat. Which is all the more important considering he won the match. Did the person who took out Roman win? I honestly don't remember.

As well, that match where roman was taken out was booked as ROMAN VS EVERYONE. ONE VS ALL. CHAMPION DEFENDS AGAINST EVERYONE.

So it was cheapened a bit.

That's the problem right there. Vince and Kevin Dunn are completely clueless. It's no wonder why Triple H hates Dunn, and is upset with Vince. They have great talent, just to come under Reigns superhuman booking. If Goldberg goes against Reigns, we know how that's going down and if it's Cena, that one is hard. Both Cena and Reigns will be kicking out of every move that might reside in a draw.

this! i've seen people try justify it on twitter, "you're supposed to hate it" etc, but they could've done something similar and had carmella actually unhook the briefcase, have ellsworth help her up the ladder or could've pushed someone else off, the way they did it was so bad. and now they're doing a rematch or whatever...

MITB was poor except for the main event

roman vs cena i'd be excited for

goldberg coming back again? ehhh not so much, he's had his time

.

this isn't wwe news but its wrestling related so.. last week after wrestling training there was a pretty big indie show being held in the same venue and i ended up helping set up the ring and then i worked the merch table during the show, its the first show i did any work on. it was a huuuuuuge behind the curtain moment seeing the wrestlers arrive, like mark andrews, will ospreay, travis banks and david starr and a bunch more big uk indie names. and seeing them discuss matches and who's going over.

it was the hottest day of the year and the building has no real ventilation so with almost 300 people there it was like a sauna, can't imagine how hot it was for the wrestlers

promotion is called lucha forever, check it out

WWE is really resembling the final years of WCW, they are hemorrhaging fans and still they are bigging up the heels and not the babyfaces that the fans actually like.

The PPV was really lackluster in almost all ways.

Honestly imo, i did not mind the ''controversial'' ending to the woman MITB match it's just that the match could have been waaaay better. The ending did not help.

Uso vs New Day was okay...until that DQ win...

I can't really hate on Lana vs Naomi with it being Lana's first match and all....i actually think Lana did okay with her debut...but yeah still forgettable

Mahal vs Orton was average.

Breezango vs Acension...lol

MITB mans match was good actually...only good thing in the show

Overall the show was disappointing.

Kinda a weird topic but has anyone else noticed how unflattering the NXT pictures of the women are? Like some of them are legit 8s or better but the bumper card makes them look like the Tuesday early bird special at a rural strip club.

Not saying the i don't believe in the stereotype of the hot and well endowed(most are plastic though) female WWE female superstar, but this seriously bugs you?

I actually felt like every match was solid, but for the most part just had really bad finishes.

Are they, though? I mean, sure, back in the day, but right now? How many of them have had any work at all?

GBOF this weekend... I have to admit, I've really been enjoying Samoa Joe and what they're doing with him. They kind of missed the opportunity with Ambrose of having a nutcase actually go after Brock all crazy-like, so I'm interested to see how the match goes. I'm expecting another "lol suplex city" kind of thing, but I hope they're past that since the Goldberg stuff.

I think it's a shame we won't be seeing Nia in the title match. I really enjoyed the part of the gauntlet match between her and Sasha, and the only thing I would have changed was the finish. Sasha vs Bliss could be good, but i'm still convinced Sasha would be better as a heel.

So... Did they seriously bring back RuRu just to feed him to Cena again? Really?

Great Balls of Fire just felt like an episode of Raw. The Hardys vs. Cesaro/Sheamus match was match of the night. Roman vs. Braun was good. But besides that, it all felt lackluster. And Joe got squashed. 6 Germans and a F5 was all it took to put him away.

Have to disagree, tbh. One F5, sure, but nobody bar Goldberg has looked as strong against Brock as Joe did, and that promo segment on RAW was money.

Funny how Roman tries to actually murder someone and nobody has a problem with it. That "dae attitude era" line was dumb as ****, not to mention how Lesnar wasn't even in the AE.

I thought GBOF was pretty decent, which is something Raw really hasn't been this last while.
