Because real fans see wrestlers as wrestlers. We can give two shits about there personal life. As long as they made an impact and gave heart for his/her company, we respect that wrestler.

Nuff said.

Seriously, have you noticed that most of the people here that are bashing Benoit are not even wrestling fans or hardly know crap about the sport?

Right, it's obvious, really, as they pretty much ignore 20 years of excellent wrestling and cal lhim a dirtbag/rot in hell etc.

he made an impact in pro-wrestling. that's a fact. he's legendary, but how can u still respect someone that murders someone else? (2 people to be exact)

I respect his skills and determination, not what he does outside the ring.

And let me just get this out there now,

you realize that the acrobatics and strength needed in fake wrestling is more then three times more damaging to your body then sports such as soccer and basketball? So yes, I think that Wrestling should count as a sport.

i consider it sport-entertainment.

muscle building with supplements isn't a skill. i'm not saying it's an easy task, but i dont consider it a sport.

we cant make bets 😛

He laughs his lungs out when ever someone calls wrestling a sport. Combat sport, yes! It might be fake, but the blood, slams from 20 foot ladders, and stunts in hardcore matches are 100% real. How about you try it and tell me it does not hurt at all.

Depends on the definition. It's not competitive in the true sense, though the athleticism is higher than many other sports.

Wow guys, you've drank the Kool-Aid put on the robes, now all your Benoit Cult needs is a funny chant and your all set.

Get over your man love. Celebrities are still people who should be held as responsible as possible just like everyone else.

I have been a wrestling fan for the majority of my life, but he threw everything he ever did in the past right down the toilet when he became nothing but a filthy low life killer.

And the fact that his actions indicated deliberation, rather than "roid rage" creates a steroid scandal...how?

Not sure what u mean but my statement about them using steroids have nothing to do with Benoit. I agree that it was a deliberate act and steroids probably didnt have a part in it. The media is just havinf a field day with it for ratings sake.

About some wrestlers passing the drug tests, to me that mean shit because I dont know u guys but I know of a lot of guys that can fool a test.

Also Ive following wrestling for years and even though it probably doesnt interest me anymore I still watch it, at least RAW. Benoit was one of my tops wrestlers along with Kurt Angle and the great Bret Hart but until it is proven otherwise, he killed his family, the facts speak for themselves. Whether drugs were involved frankly who cares, he shouldnt have put himself in that position.
