Seriously, have you noticed that most of the people here that are bashing Benoit are not even wrestling fans or hardly know crap about the sport?
are you bullshitting me? i know wrestling inside and out. 😐
considering i watch RAW every week and have researched the history, i'm pretty informed, but that's irrelevant to the point.
Chris benoit was a great wrestler, but he killed his family. normally, i don't care about wrestlers personal lives, but there's a line and benoit crossed it. when a wrestler MURDERS, their in-ring ability is irrelevant to me.
this isn't about chris benoit the wrestler. it's about benoit as a person.

its like i said before. benoit as a person must have been troubled and very disturbed to have done what he did. but as a wrestler he was up there with some of the best
What he did in the ring does not excuse what he did out of the ring. Your acting as if Benoit the Wrestler and Benoit the Person aren't one and the same. When that sick psycho scum killed his family he ruined everything he ever did and now all he will be remembered for is being a sick killer. Even the WWE has realized this and I can assure you he will never be in the HOF.

so why do people still idolize stone cold austin even after abusing his wife?we do not know the circumstances as to what has happened, and to be honest its none of our business. what he did was wrong, and is totally unforgivable. but he was still a great wrestler.
I lost all respect for him also. He isn't a murderer, but he is a wife beater.

I don't idolize Stone Cold. But there is a HUGE difference between beating your wife and killing her and your 7 year old son. Seriously tho, this is a touchy subject and needs to be changed. Soooooooooo who do you think is the greatest wrestler of all time?
here's a couple. it's in order:
1. hulk hogan
2. ric flair
3. undertaker
4. the rock
5. stone cold
6. triple h
7. kurt angle (the best at WRESTLING)
8. bret hart
9. shawn michaels
10. chris jericho

Bret Hart in his prime. The guy was unbeatable.
benoit was my favorite wrestler. now i feel confused, shocked, depressed, and angry. of all people i would've never imagined chris benoit would've done what he had done but, i'm not going into that.
i'm not even sure i have a solid opinion. he was my hero.
as far as the wwe is concerned...
the wwe is weak imo. vince likes the big (size) wrestlers, not necessarily big talented wrestlers. even so, big guys can't work as long as smaller guys. he's burying "ecdub." the roster is too spread out and a lot of the big names are injured but, that last part is just bad luck.
so many of you (not all) are marks. you're missing out on sooooo much on the indy scene. ie. ROH and you're being suckered in that the wwe is the big leagues. it's just the highest paying and well known.
i'm not passing off the guys who made history in the wwe, like bret hart, kurt angle, the rock, and hogan, just to name a few. just saying that there's more in the business than what you see in the wwe.
it's infuriating when a wwe mark argues in the wwe's defense considering the caliber of the athletes in the wwe. for most of the guys in the wwe, there is a lack of real talent.
sure there are jobbers but even jobbers can be good. ie. ultimo dragon (but only in the wwe is ultimo a jobber)
most people don't know talent like teddy hart, roderick strong, and many guys (nearly all) who are unfortunately being miss-used on TNA.
those guys are talented. just as much as the likes of kurt angle, the rock, and the late benoit.
i guess i'm saying check out the indy scene if you haven't and quit being suckered in by the wwe. cause lately, it sucks.
oh and **** cena. ^_^
