Even if they go with the brain-thieves from Sigma Draconis VI and make a movie around Spock's brain being stolen?
They gotta make a movie about Spock going back to his homeworld and getting horny around his lifemate and her rejecting him and Spock going crazy and facing Kirk in gladitorial combat.
When is Paramount going to announce a date change? Even if they started shooting tomorrow, it's likely they won't make that date of June 29, 2012. The majority of the films have been released in the Thanksgiving-Christmas period, anyway. Just say it's coming for late November 2012, and don't rush things.
What has to be involved in the second film can be said in one word -
...KHAN.

I just finished watching Star Trek: Enterprise on Netflix and it was better than I remembered. But I refused to watch the finale of the last season. It was a sin to make it a holodeck program.
that was the worst thing they did for the final episode.. they should have made a much better ep

I liked how it tied in with TNG where Riker is waiting for his old captain to come aboard, but yeah, it's a complete anti-climax.
I kinda was upset that they killed Trip off
