i most certianly hope you are not a trekkie. There is a diffrence between a trekkie and a star trek fan. ST fans enjoy the franchise for what its worth. Trekkies drive chevy sillouetts and paint them light gray. They weld large round pillars on the sides of the van to imate the "warp nacell" look. They plaster united federation of planets all over their vehical. When pulled over by a police officer citing them for the modified van with theses massive warp nacells on them the driver cries and complaines that withoput the nacells they are not capeable of warp drive and the car wont function. We had to fire a co worker at the company i worked for due to her dressing up as a vulcan all the time and greeting customers with the vulcan gesture with the hand. This same employee actually took my boss to court about being fired. I actually know people that believe so much in the world of star trek they really think they are there.

I hope for your sake your not one of theses trekkies =)

that's the problem; not enough trek fans know what the specific definition of trekkie actually is.

i thought i was a trekkie myself, but i'm in actual fact a trekker.

Yeah, like I said in another thread, I really don't know how I feel about it. It doesn't feel at all like a Star Trek movie to me.

Actually from what I'm seeing and hearing it could be a collection of TOS villains and characters. Cumberbatch may be playing a certain disgraced starship captain or the aforementioned spoiler.
Hell, maybe J.J. got really heavily into the drink after realizing that Fringe is just a bad X-Files knockoff and the villains are going to turn out to be a Hotra/Tribble alliance?
