Oh right, well.. I wasn't actually looking for the answer to that question, but thanks anyways.

I was crap at the game myself, didn't even know how to hadouken 🙁, i'd just tap random buttons and hope for the best.

1) Yes, but say for the few people that do get paired with someone from a different media, would it just be tough luck? Because I don't think thats very fair, the fact other people have two characters from the same media would give them an advantage.

2) So if your paired with Darth Maul/Noddy and the guy decides to drop out because he can't be bothered to watch through episodes of Noddy for feats, then you are left stranded? Because atleast with someone in the same media, you could just as easily get evidence for their character as your own.

😬, I totally understand what your saying, I just think a multimedia tournament wouldn't work/be very good.

1) Not really there are people from other media with plenty of feats to accommodate any debate it is just choosing those people.

Plus I'm going to give the big hint for this one tourney with Youtube finding evidence and posting evidence for people from shows or movies shouldn't be hard at all.

2) Well you won't be able to debate for your partner's character anyways so even if you could get a bunch of evidence it will not matter. Anyways there are generally alternates(people who signed up too late) that we can put in.

You'll run into the problem no matter what media you use.

Also we already had a Multimedia tourney with this level and it worked out just fine and their were some ingenius people picked from outside of comics. 😛

E. Honda was the best at those Mini-Games

You wouldn't have to do that though, the only one posting "feats" of an amalgam would be the person who drafted the characters involved. Even though you're on the same team you can only describe what your individual character will be doing.

So are you still not joining or are you at least undecided at the moment?

Undecided.

I'm still not a fan of it being multimedia, but I've been meaning to join a tournament for a while and therefore i'll wait until it gets a little nearer to signing up time and see how things have progressed.

It was an all-comic character who won the last multi-media amalgam tourney ... people tend not to believe feats from book characters when they can't see them and there's nothing to compare it against.

I'll probably join and I'll almost certainly take two comic characters, there's such a large and varied pool of powers that there's really no need for most to go outside of comics for their drafts.

Pretty true the safer bet will be to take Comic-Book guys.

True. Though I liked Laminator posting scans of book pages for us to read, and the links to youtube videos and such. It was a riot.

...also harder for the tourney director(s) though. There's no standard power base for other mediums, so you'll be making a lot of arbitrary judgement calls and pissing a lot of people off....more than usual, that is.

I've gotten a lot of practice at doing those things 😛

Do we really not get to pick our partners in this one? 😬

Shaddy...

Well truth be told besides the fact I think it would be a cool twist.

I'm sick and tired of watching all these dream teams dominate the partner tournies. While any match is up in the air it has been the top two teams in experience that have won each partner tourney so far.

Leo and Khan

Blair Wind and Darkcralwer

So I hoping to shake things up and get people to team up with different people and hopefully stop this happening. Is randomizing fool proof and guaranteed to stop it no. But it is the fairest way I can think of doing it.

Sup.

Digi and Scoobless.

😖hifty:

Though I guess there's something to be said for that. Scoob and I didn't win, but made the finals, and were the only ones close to DC/Blair in terms of experience and history. Reputation and experience counts for a lot....not everything, but a lot. Though it's important to mention that leo and Kahn were in their first tourney, but leo had followed KMC tournies since the early days.

It could be intereting to see people get partnered randomly. I'd certainly laugh, especially because I won't be in it myself.

Experience? More like power.

Hal/Surfer/Maxima

Black Alice/All-Star Superman/The Keeper

EASILY the two most stacked teams in their respective tourneys. Not saying they didn't debate well either, but their teams certainly helped things.

Especially considering that Black Alice/AS Superman/Keeper team was over the power limit.

Uuuuuuh...I even argued certain characters were over in that tourny but they still got in

It was an under-Thanos tourney. As their vanquished opponent, I can actually say I don't have a problem with their draft choices. Leo/Kahn's were similarly smart but legal.

Now as for their debating and tactics....that's a different story. But I guess we already visited that ad nauseum. They're just lucky we found the Space-Phantom-into-Hercules scan a week too late.

Yes, and it was my bad that I allowed the Keeper and BA in the tourney.

I must have been drunk off my ass when allowed them in.
