So I'm fine with Karate Kid (I mean his h2h is crazy, but whatever he can be dealt with)

But spartan? I know he eventually becomes a superman type character. Thoughts?

No problem with Spartan as far as I can tell. Now ban Cable already. 😛

KK? Would've likely been my 1st-round pick if I were in this. Nice work, whoever got him. And PC feats are invalid anyway just like anyone's PC feats (with a few notable exceptions), right?

Ok now that the PM's are out of the way, I can move on to the stuff that needs to be addressed for this thread.

Karate Kid- The person who picked him WILL have to choose between his Pre and Post Crisis versions to choose from. I don't know if his Pre Crisis incarnation was to powerful, but if anyone has anything that would classify him as such, that particular version will be banned.

Spartan- The person who picked him picked his original incarnation. I know he's gotten a lot more powerful since then, but as long as his original form was acceptable I don't see a problem. But again, if anyone has anything to suggest that Spartan has always been to powerful, let me know and I'll come up with something.

Cable- According to the person who wants him, Cable no longer possess the tp and tk capabilities he once did. He plans on using Cables new tech based powers(which I know nothing about) rather than his psi powers, so does anyone have any info that puts THOSE powers over the cap?

Vision's phasing- Again, it's a good attack. It's an attack that's difficult to counter, but it CAN be countered. I can think of two specific instances of the Vision's own phasing being countered, and I can think of a whole list of people who have shown the ability to counter someone with phasing capabilities(via powers, tech, etc). These kinds of things are what should be taken into consideration when making your draft selections. If you build an amalgam with no defense against Psi's, you're going to get handled by someone's amalgam that HAS offensive psi capabilities. There have just been to many instances of people getting around phasing for me to ban it as a viable strategy when everyone has a total of three character slots anyone of whom could potentially counter it.

Spiral's Magic- I still haven't seen anything to suggest that Spiral's magic is to powerful for this thing. I'll consider it when I see something to that effect, but I've seen some of her high showings(many of which have been brought up here) but they didn't really seem beyond the high showings of many of the characters that have already been selected so I can't ban it at this point.

Read this issue of C&D. Cable uses his new powers to fix the power grid of an entire city. And to manhandle Six-pack.

no problem so far..

Cable can overload the mind of a person using the infonet and basically get an unstoppable one-hit KO.

So far in Carey's run on X-Men Cable hasn't demonstrated anything that would place him over the caps. His new telepathy is sort of weird. Well Carey has portrayed it as weird. IRRC in Civil War I don't think he was as limited.

However you may want to check out Cable and Deadpool. I remember reading a "complaint" by a fan to Carey a while ago. According to the fan the tech is supposed to replicate his old TP and TK(Forcefield) abilities. I'm not sure how much of this is true but it's worth checking out.

Well lets see Blackbox relay all the schematic on the town and its damages to cables and just basicly drained and rerouted the energy distribution from the town, repairing it.. Awesome feat dough..

Yeah im with that 2 i just dont see him over the cap.. What tricks says i think is banned, getting that from the rules..
I quess you have to banned everyone with TK's then since most chars w/ tk can basickly do similar things..

my only concern with current cable is the LACK of feats and info. i'm not sure there's enough info yet to say just HOW powerful he really is, or what his full capabilities are. 😬
