What he's saying is that the regular time was Goober's 7... not his.

nah, it was Goobers 6 to my 7 (eastern)

Ah, I can't keep track...

Good thing I don't have to pick then. 🙂

I know this has prolly been answered before, but what does using one's character "mind" pick consist of? Fighting Strategy? TK etc?

his knowledge (anything he knows) and his equipment (tech, gear, armor, ect)

and any powers he has gained through training, as well as skills and intelligence.

I'll be at school tomorrow ...

I'm pretty sure those might fall under powers I'm assuming your thinking of something like Iron Fists Chi attack right.

The "Mind" character supplies all of the mental characteristics(things like fighting skills, technical knowledge, and any learned abilities like sorcery, Dr. Druids mental powers, Iron Fist's powers or any other powers that come strictly from training) and also the "Mind" character is the source for any potential equipment(like Iron Man's armor, or Cable's weapons) but again nothing else. Keep in mind that only psi abilities that are the result of training fall into this category, the abilities of mutant psi’s and the like fall under the heading of the “Powers” category.

Actually Iron Fists powers were only partially gained through training, a lot of the Chi power came from that dragon.

IMO, all of IF's skills and abilties would fall under mind. He earned that chi power through blood and sweat. And killing Shao-Lou was the final test in his training. Yes, he got the fist and most of his uber power from beating the dragon, but he had to beat it in the first place. Give the man his credit. 😉

How does someone's mind give you their equipment? I never fully understood that part of the amalgam.

There's no logical leap involved, the category is just Mind & Equipment.

😬

But why make it a composite category? Why not have 4 categories?

Then you'd have a guy in Iron Man's armour with absolutely no experience of how to use it.

Which is worse than a guy in someone elses body with powers he nor the body he now inhabits has ever had?

Come on Scoob...

*edit

I'm just saying that for the amalgam isn't it "assumed" that you get the knowledge anyway? If not, even if you drafted Ironman for your mind character how would the Tony know how his new body functioned and if it was compatible with the armor (size, dimensions), and how would the powers mix with the armor, not to mention the fact that Tony's not used to being in the body and the body isn't used to embodying the powers.

If it's assumed the amalgam gets compatability I would have broken brains and equipment up. Some characters don't have tech.

eh, I like the three character rule, and I say its too late to change. A few things have to be assumed (Tony's body getting into the armour, and him knowing how to use his powers) 😬

I'm not saying to change it, it is too late for that, I was just offering a retort to Scoob's comment.

There's really not much need for any category that's specifically "Mind" if they're going to get relevant knowledge of tech/abilties.

Doesn't matter though, it's good the way it is.
