I've been told not only power,but status get you there as well.Jonn is Dc's resident go-to-Telepath,he is acknowlledged as one of it's strongest and he is considered the JLA's heart and soul,his status puts him there too.

wolverine's the resident top notch healing factor, he recovers from everything, not to mention he's marvel's posterboy. Put him there too! durfist

Staus+power.Jonn has both.Not to mention his HF is better then Wolverines and he can form Teh CLAWZ as well.

By powerset he is above Superman. By feats and status he's not.

Being placed in MidTierHerald isn't really a drop from TopTierHerald. TTH is for the "when the world is in danger who is the first person that springs to mind" folks.
