How morally wrong is it to fillet a fish alive?

80% I am.... 😄

The real question is: How fresh do you need your food?

I don't really see much of a problem with it, I mean, the fish will be dead within seconds. I'd prefer to smack it with a priest first, simply to make the filleting easier.

Filleting fish? Hell think about what you're doing when you eat broccoli or a carrot/apple you just plucked from a tree, or any fresh plant for that matter. At least the fish are dead when you consume them. Plants get the joy of being killed by digestive enzymes. We should stop eating things altogether because it's just so damn cruel to live.

I've often thought about this myself since I'm an avid fisherman.

"broccoli or a carrot/apple you just plucked from a tree."

Last time I checked, carrots and broccoli weren't found on a tree.

yeah it should've been "broccoli or a carrt, or an apple you just plucked from a tree" 😮

The 1 rule of fishing

Respect the Fish

or wait..

Maybe it was always check your line

Well actually eating fruits and veggies raw is best and they would be considered alive. They just don't have nerve endings. Eating anything alive is better for you, however our digestive system wasn't made for digesting live or dead animals. It's tougher on us.

OK back to fish. I prefer everything that breathes dead before I eat it.
