I believe in him because there's some scientific proof of his existence. And I believe in him. That's good enough for me, even though it might not be that for you.

Why do you ask? I believe what I believe. I consider my religious opinion to be private, and I have already told you what I believe in. If you don't agree, that's okay. We're all different.

But okay, just this one time. I believe in Jesus. I can't say that I'm certain he was the son of God, but I do believe in him. I believe in what you said, that he was a good guy, that he took the sins of humanity on his shoulders and paid the price for them on the cross. That he was a good teacher and we should follow his example.

How could he take the sins of humanity on the cross if he were not divine? A sacrifice had to be pure, without blemish or flaw. And, since all mortal men are flawed...
