Examples of him being put to sleep isn't needed but his mind has been tampered with by telepaths on multiple occasions. Not saying he cant just saying he wont in character hes going to fly in and get punched to mars

Messing with Bob's mind is never a good idea, or his soul as Doom found out. Emma had to go into his mind and coax him out of his little hidy-hole or he (The Void) would have slaughtered the team trying to stop it. I saw Bob as an extremely powerful character that up til his supposed death (I don't believe he's dead) only tapped into a small percentage of his power. When he battled the Collective, I can't be sure, but weren't there several TP talents embedded within the being? The Collective should have lost against Bob, if not for the BFR via wormhole.
Sentry alone may be able to defeat Despero, so I really can't see how this entire team of very powerful characters wouldn't break him down.

Despero's TP is somewhat different in approach to Emma's gentle prodding. Despero takes over his victims with brute force TP tactics. This could go very badly for Despero. It most likely would.
