Hulk 2

Being the only person in the world who actually loved Ang Lee's THE HULK, I hope this next version lives up to it's predecessor.

You do realize that the original Hulk was gray right?

Also, about the jumping, they can have him jump high and far...but not to exaggerate it so much.

Yes, I realize that in the first few issues or so, the Hulk was gray.

Then, in the eighties for a small amount of time, he was gray.

But, it's safe to say that the majority of all Hulk incarnations has been green. People associate him with that color, not gray. It's what he's known for and I personally just think that changing that is a bad move.

And for the jumping, I thought that was pretty awesome when he jumped for miles at a time. To each his own I guess.

I dont mind as long as they don´t do this stupid cartoony style of camera work, and don´t just repeat the original story, lets have some super baddies in it.

****in' ey...turns out Avi Arad was pulling everyone's legs. By his comments on a different colored Hulk he was referring to a different shade of green from the other movie. He needs to learn that a shade is different than a color.

maybe a darker green would be nice....also....i really doubt hulk will sell no matter wat...they had there chance the first time...and they really sucked it up....hulk just doesnt mix with crowds nowadays...hopefully they change my mind

I don't understand you people, Hulk sucked..Hulk blows...Hulk... blah blah blah... i think we're lucky these movies are being made. if i were a movie maker and read some of the crap on here, i wouldn't bother doing any more movies for you ungrateful fools. Anyway, Hulk should be green. The grey version is considered weaker, and would probably be viewed that way. Also the marketing would be better if he were green, mostly because of association. Hulk has always jumped far and has amazing feats of strength, if he didn't it wouldn't be Hulk..... (Hulk doesn't mix with crowds nowadays)?... wait, what?

you guys should really check for updates on your links. hulk will NOT be gray, but rather a "different shade of green"

http://www.firstshowing.net/2007/04/23/avi-arad-confirms-hulk-wont-be-grey-rather-different-shade-of-green/

...i hope its a less saturated green, which imho is why he came off as so cartoony...he looked sort of....glowy imho, and thus contrasted a bit unrealistically with his surroundings

Agreed. A toned-down green would work much better.

=Tired Hiker= you're not the only one my friend, I love the Ang Lees HULK and loved Eric Bana as Bruse Baner aka The Hulk!

but...he was exposed to very high levels of gamma radiation...he radiates. Makes sense, no?

Whatever, the movie did blow. I'm surprised Jennifer Connelly was in it.

I feel sorry for the director and actors in the first Hulk Movie. Making a REMAKE is like a slap in the face to them. An insult.

But the first Hulk did suck so I can live with them being nationally humiliated.

Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

Tim Roth has been cast opposite Ed Norton, which seems like a nice mix.

If people would read every post then it would have been noted I posted the retraction.

I actually quite enjoyed Ang Lee's Hulk too.

With Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, and Tim Roth, I'm hoping this new one doesn't get as much flack.

So they are going to pretend as if the 1st one never happened?

I hate to see how much this movie is going to bomb big time!jm

I read an issue of Hulk where he jumped into outer space. So i never saw how jumping 2 miles at a time was exagerated. If your any kind of Hulk Fan, you know that was the least of the hulks problems in that shamefull movie.
I agree with you in that changing the hulks color from green to anything else would be dissaterous

I liked the first hulk movie, OK so the whole tormented sole thing was a little boring, well very boring but the desert action with the tanks rocked, and what was wrong with the way he jumped ? it was mint.
when hulk was on screen I was not bored, the dogfight in the trees was sick, kind of scary and violent and the end, with his dad, whats his name, nick nolty I think, I thought he was mint.
YOU WANT ME TO GO, I'LL GO, YOU JUST WATCH ME GO, the bit where he turns into lightning and drags the hulk through the sky, amazing.
ang lee is the man.

If you're any kind of Hulk fan you'll know he wasn't green to begin with, he was grey.

Also, Hulk has always been much more of a psychological story by intent, there's more to him than his power, as any real Hulk fan will tell you, but it seems there's a distinct lack of comics readers here from the amount of shit being spoken. Hulk was a fantastic movie, in my opinion, and they didn't deviate TOO much from story, just how the events happened.

If they had made it all Hulk smashing stuff, you'd possibly end up with an abomination like Fantastic Four or X-Men movies. It was a comic book movie made for fans of Hulk, and Ang Lee didn't compromise to appeal to the popcorn, Saturday night out people.

Hulk's screen time was impactful, whereas if he was on every five minutes it'd be boring.

I love how people are saying "They can do this, they should do that.". He was accurate, if you know anything about the comics.

How do you depict a 10 foot tall, 3,000 lbs mutated human, with green skin, and somehow make it blend into the surroundings? That's odd to me, but then again, I read the comics, and have for many, many years.

Whether or not you like the execution is up to you, but don't go around saying he was inaccurate, he wasn't. Pick on The Silver Surfer's movie character, Dr. Doom's, Spider-Man's (He wasn't even the funniest character in his own movies, a defining Spidey attribute.), but Hulk's is actually one of the most accurate.

That said, I'm sure you'll all get your "GRAAAH! SMASH!" Hulk movie, because it's your kind that get X-Men making 3 sequels and bumping all the good comics off the shelves because they're Marvel's cash cow. I'm sure people won't rest until it's happened to Hulk too.
