how can you possibly make an excuse like that? tens of thousands to far more die and we're collectively far less interested than when one kills 33. you're comfortable with this sense of priority?

however you have to take into account that with natural disaster information takes like forever to get on the news. how long were they finding and counting bodies around indonesia and then in louisiana?
its sensationalism which feeds on our paranoia imho. not the issue itself, mind you, but rather the reason an issue like this turns "ZOMG1" and when exponentially more people die its....not interesting so it seems.
