I think the general increase of violence in India and many other normally peaceful areas in the region (UAE for instance) represents a very negative trend.

Pakistan itself is facing threats of terrorist attacks from its western province Waziristan (SP?) since it has recently passed legislation forbidding certain practices that are supported by fundamentalist Islamists. In the most recent case I believe it was the right for women to not be sold off into arranged marriages.

I care about India 🙁

After they saw a movie about Ghandi, after that the country is in a distant place with little influence in our lives and people tend to forget...
