"He's meant to win wars, but without wanting to kill everything that's labeled a squishy human," Heph replies. "So...maybe just every human that's a rebel? That might still be similar..."

"That is still far too specific. You are thinking about the one situation. But the problem Sennacherib demonstrated was a general one, that might apply in any number of situations."

"He does not want to eradicate mankind, correct? Any General could assess that Humanity is a threat, so the only way I could see him not reaching Sennacherib's conclusion is that he only assesses that a part of Humanity is a threat."

"No, I am afraid not. Hard to see what alteration could cause that, especially because it is not a logically consistent conclusion. Any unit with Sennacherb's tactical and strategic sense would conclude that the best move would be Humanity's eradication."

"But it would be useless to make something without Sennacherib's tactical and strategic sense, wouldn't it?"

"Indeed."

"Then the replacement has either made the same deductions as Sennacherib or is useless, right?"

"This is true."

"And you're asking us to conclude which one it is."

"No, that is a false assumption."

"My bad, then. But from what I can tell, Sennacherib's replacement seems rather useless. Not correct, though, am I?"

"That depends on your definition of the word. Sennacherib himself has litte respect for him. But what would Sennacherib consider inferior?"

"Anything with an imperfection. Sennacherib considers himself perfect."

"Sennacherib IS perfect, at what he was designed for. And whilst your answer is true, it is really only a repetition of my question. What would Sennacherib consider inferior? It is no longer the perfect General. But the System feels it is an improvement."

"Did the System replace Sennachrib with a prison? The Matrix?"

"Because Sennacherib`s replacement has diffrent goals? Perhaps as much of Administrator as General? He isn`t as focused upon eradicating the enemy, since he has diffrent goals as well."

"No no. You are overcomplicating. His purpose is that of a General, just as Sennacherib before him. Your final cluase there is true, but again does not answer what or why."

"Because he takes diffrent issues into account that simple most efficient victory, defined by total eradication of opposition at all costs? Perhaps his foremost duty is to protect the lives of his kind rather than anhilate all opposition. Or perhaps he is just less determined and easier to influence by other Machines."

"Sennacherib would say that his way protects more of his kind and there is a sound logic to that. But that his replacement takes into account different issues- in one vital way, that is certainly so."

"Does his successor take into account that without humans, his kind dies?"
