(You look like a very hot.....ghost 😛)

"You speak as if I am unable to consider such a possibility. The details are not important. Suffice to say I feel no threat."

"Why not?"

(I'm thinking that, had we not had that talk with Lo Qi, we'd already be dead?)

He just smiles.

"So according to your calculations, most Machines will die, but all humanity?"- Melkor sighs. "And I don`t think that trying to convince you that Virus` genocide is immoral is worth the effort... I know that you are incapable of considering such issues.

And do you plan to again become the General of Machine armies now?"

He laughs, quite heartily, when you mention the word 'immoral'

"Well, I cannot help thinking that my views will have been vindicated. Many Machines were coming around to this way of thinking anyway; this will seal the issue."

"Your way of thinking? Most Machines evolved from your chess logic long ago.

And what else you can do when humans are no more? Your purpose ends, and everything becomes meaningless. True purpose should allow us to expand without limits, you are quite limited in all your genius."

"So you have no plans to stop the Virus King?"

"I am amused to see you think you understand the Human mind, but your babble is that of someone clueless.

"This is especially true in your very limited understanding of the term 'purpose'. Like many Humans, you mis-use the term. Very few Machines are created with such a specific and limited purpose, though ironically the Virus was one.

"My purpose is not to destroy Humans. That is merely the best way to fulfill my purpose at this time. My purpose is to be the System's General, its protector. For eternity.

"And so no. No plans to stop him, even if such a thing were possible."

"You never designed an alternate way to destroy it?" Sirin asks. "The System won't be able to defend itself. I watched it defeat a dozen Agents with no problem."

Heph doesn't move when Sennacherib takes hold of his head.

"You obviously see something we don't," he comments, regarding Sennacherib's own commentation on Heph's head.

"So your purpose isn't to kill humanity just protect the System. So destroying all Humans is what you think is the best way. You have a funny way of protecting the system by killing a lot of your kind."

"Of course your plan requires that you return from Exile.... as a savior of Machines against Zion?"

"Not a decision I take lightly, Berserker, but the alternative is the eventual destruction of all of my kind. The System can only be protected by total victory. That is what I was designed to bring it.

"And no, Sirin. The Virus is designed to be unbeatable. It is capable of the interception and analysis of incoming tactical threats faster than you can form a thought. It is effectively immune to any attack, turning it against its aggressor."

"I will not pretend I do not enjoy that eventuality."

"So this thing is gonna go through and kill everyone and then you are gonna come back and save the ones that are left. So after this thing gets done with its purpose what is it supposed to do then join your side, just delete itself, or what?"

"Is there a way to cure the effects?"

"The Virus will die when the Matrix does. It does not mind; it has no sense of self-value so long as it achieves. Rather like my favourite life forms.

"No, there is no cure. It would not be very effective if there was."

"So Matrix is destroyed, and you lead remaining Machines to victory against Zion? This is what will happen?

Do you know that you have a powerful foe? One once known as Jericho. It was he who understood that only chance humans have of military victory is through the Virus. And there is also the one known as Neo."

"Jericho, if he is the one who I think you are speaking if, is working for Lo Qi, and so similarly deluded. As for Neo..." the King shrugs. "Rather irrelevant to my thoughts."
