and Logans skeketon has been stated as the strongest metal on the planet many many times.

no cap's shield is stronger the whole reason adamantium exist is because they were trying to recreate the metal in his shield and adamintum is the cloest they could get. and there are lots of "uns" in marvl unlimited strength power etc but that doesn't mean they turely are just that their limit is unknown and it wouldnt be that big a deal if they let adamantium break it's not like it would ever happen often it's still the strongest metal on the planet save for the shield

There's no reason to believe that Logan's skeleton is stronger than primary adamantium.

In fact, there's as much reason to believe that it's stronger, as there is to believe that it's weaker. As far as the shield goes, I've seen it repeatedly. I'll try to find it when Im back at my desktop this weekend.

you dont understand it can't be broken by strength.........it a fact. It can only be broken by manipulation of it molicules.

Oh, and McLain, the creator of both Cap's shield AND true adamantium even acknowledged that his latter creation was weaker.

Adamantium-beta, the adamantium currently attached to Wolverine's bones has NEVER been described as stronger or weaker than true adamantium; but it's equal. The only difference is it doesn't inhibit the bones' natural function as it did before.

um, I believe it's a reference to the guy who created the concept.. as in a writer.

well if it was the writter that hardly matter since he original said capts shield was haft adamtium haft vibranium.....

Nah, it's a continuity error that's never been officially retconned.

Myron MacLain is usually credited as being the inventor of both Captain America's shield and Adamantium.

Furthermore, while, as I mentioned, I can't find it in the comics till this weekend (hopefully? 😛) every single handbook that documents adamantium or Cap's shield will say that true adamantium is 'nearly as strong' as Captain America's shield.

While handbook ratings and the like aren't usually admissible in debate, this isn't a rating. As both have only been destroyed by high powered cosmics, neither have a superior 'feat,' however, the handbook directly states that Captain America's shield is stronger/more durable/whatever.

no he said it was half steel have vibranium and if cap's shield whis is greater than addy can be damaged by RKT then it most certanly can be physically damaged

No he didn't. If I recall correctly, it's ALWAYS been an iron compound/vibranium. There was a mistake in one of Cap's series' (2? 3? I can't remember) that started the adamantium/vibranium thing. It was later copied into a handbook or two, on mistake, if I recall correctly.

It's always been iron/vibranium.

Let's geive this a moment to sink in folks... Handbook ratings aren't admissible (why? because they're often wrong? That sheds doubt on the entire handbook why isolate it to just the stats?), but this instance where his claim is supported is... however appearently handbooks then become wrong again a few posts later....

choosy about the information much?

Deathstrike's father inventing Adamantium is a vital part of Wolverine and Deathstrike's characters. It doesn't really seem to be that vital to acredtiing it to mclaine...

And hey soljer just what is a retcon? 🙂

I really do fail to see your point. Any handbook, from creation till now, that has featured Adamantium or Captain America's shield has always said that Adamantium is nearly as strong.

There was, I believe, a SINGLE inconsistency about the make-up of Cap's shield because it was taken directly from the erroneous writer - that doesn't interfere with someone else's consistency in the least.

And, besides, it was changed back to Iron/Vibranium afterwards. I'm not choosy about information - I was just pointing out that the very information in the handbook changed from one year to the next.

ANOTHER piece of information has remained static the entire time.

And, whether you feel it's vital or not, MacLain's always been credited as adamantium's first inventor. There is some discussion over whether he got it from Deathstrike's father or not, Lord Dark Wind, I believe. However, Lord Dark Wind HAS been credited the entire time with the adamantium-to-bone bonding process.

Regardless; Captain America's shield is superior to true adamantium, and has been since it's creation. 😬.

True, but honestly anything that could destroy adamantium could destroy Cap's shield just as easily 😬

So in the end it really doesn't matter

As far as we currently know? Absolutely.

Doesn't change the fact that Captain America's shield has always been and will always be superior to adamantium.
