Totally.

Oh that's right Hulk can't do any of that... Can Strange grow bigger and smash stuff and get his own wife and unborn child killed and then blame it on the people who got him to meet his wife and child in the first place? ... oh wait...
Ignoring your lack of certain types of reasoning skills I'd like to point out that Strange has done worse things than that in the past actually.

But you just go to prove my point that he could do that...

No I mean an internal perspective but sure we can call the basic use of empathy fanboyism if it will make you feel better.

Never said he couldn't. In fact I usually agree with your assessment of character's abilities and level of power.
Originally posted by Symmetric ChaosI understand he feels he's justified... He's not. And that's the problem. Subjectively the villian always think they're right, but does their own personal justification make them right?

He's hurting inside I understand that. It's almost unbearable...
But that doesn't change the fact that he's in the wrong.
If he wasn't acting like the universe's biggest green ******* I'd have more sympathy for him.
As is he's taking out his hurt, and his rage on innocent people. After he was the one who caused the deaths of those back on Skaar, he takes his frustrations out on the wrong people. I hate what this has done to his character, It's made him seem like an idiot, and the monster that some of the people of the marvelverse think he is. Well.. appearently minus the killing of the innocents...

so what tier do you think current jublee is in cres?

Of course not but it does change certain aspects of what's happening. Even though we know that the Illuminati didn't blow up Sakaar he doesn't know that. I does make him less of a villain in this instance because based on the facts that he has what he's doing actually is justified. If the story were modified so that we thought the Illuminati had planted bomb he wouldn't be a villain he would be a hero up til the end where he is a victim of circumstance and hamartia.

Of course it doesn't change that what he's doing is (in the grand scheme of things) morally wrong. But he doesn't know that the Illuminati are innocent of the massacre. In light of that his reaction is almost metered, for a guy who is fueled largely by rage.

But from his PoV those "innocent people" are mass murderers.

That doesn't make him foolish that merely reflects the difference between what we known and what he knows.

Again Hulk doesn't have the proper facts to work with and he's hardly willing to hear them. He's not an idiot so much as he is irrational (which is understandable) and misinformed.

You don't see a problem with him not realizing that it was the damage he inflicted on the ship that caused it to blow up?
I think even a kid would know how volatile a rocket is ... yet you're telling me there's no way he would know that what he did to the ship could possible compromise its structural integrity?

When you consider the fact that the message began to play just moments before the explosion Hulk would seem to have good reason to think it was intentional. Pride is a powerful limiting force as well, why would Hulk allow himself to feel guilty of that when he can direct his anger at some other target?
It doesn't just happen to Hulk. It happens people in everyday life. Hell it even happened to DoctorDoom. He's a genius and a basically rational but even he couldn't accept a mistake. IMO, Hulk either thinks they did it because of the message or his pride (being king and all) warped his perception of what happened.

"Why allow himself to feel guilty"
Why should he take responsibility...
"when he can direct his anger at some other target?"
When he can blame someone else for his mistakes.
I also have no patience for the people who sue McDonald's for making them fat because they eat at the place three meals a day for weeks.
Originally posted by Symmetric ChaosHe should have discarded the ship into space as after he damaged it in the fashion he did. Allowing time for the message was a mistake in not remembering that he was using a piece of sensitive equipment that uses combustion for propulsion as a weapon. And if it's due to pride then He really doesn't deserve sympathy.

Pride cometh before a fall, and he fell hard. And then rather than take responsibility for his own actions he goes and makes life hell for, not just the innocent heros he beat up and is going to force to fight in an arena... but for the innocent civilians that have to deal with the collaterol damage from his fights. I know that's always there when there's a fight with villians... but again, he's picking a fight he shouldn't be.

Unfortunately thats the way many people's minds work. Freud called it Displacement. Taking responsibility is hard. Hulk isn't a hero like Superman or the Xmen and it's simply not likely he could accept such a huge disaster being his fault after spending so much time making a new life for himself.

He's not savage or mindless, He's capable of completeing full sentences.
