There's a huge difference between creative influence and out right plagiarism. For instance the term:- philosopher's stone is stolen directly from Frankenstein, Aragog the spider; stolen directly from Lord of the Rings, (Shelob). There's a big difference between that kind of theft and Shakespeare's influence from early writings such as poems and verse.

So you want to crucify the Romans as well? They stole their gods from other sources. So she stole 2 things from other sources. Are you going to claim that since Harry was given Godric's sword that is a copy of Excalibur? I'm sorry to tell you this but even things like the X-Men are created off of other sources. A show me and my friends are big fans of is called Babylon 5 and it stole many things from other sources, yet it was still an exceptional show. One could argue Star Trek stole the Borg off of the Cybermen in Doctor Who.

I have no interest in those shows I'm talking about literary works, not T.V programmes. There's far more than that also for instance, the name Voldermort was stolen from Merlin's antithesis Voldermortis. I have no problem with literary influence but Rowling outright thieves.

Taking names from other sources is not that bad of a crime and the books are still very well written and enjoyed by a variety of people across a wide demographic of age groups. I have a friend who used to be a newspaper editor that loves to read the books.

I can see that I'm not going to get my point across to you, carry on reading children's books and watching shit television with your friends. Hopefully one day you'll pick up some more books and realise just how unoriginal what you've been reading is.

So once you run out of points to bring up you resort to the petty insults and name calling. You would never last in a real debate.

I'm not the one who had to start bringing in my friend's professions instead of actual evidence my friend.
I have lasted in real debates and will continue to do so. I know more about Harry Potter than you and don't even like it for God's sake.

I did post proof in the form of links. Whether or not you know more then me is an open question. And if this is your style of debating I'm sorry I do not believe you could last in a real debate.

I'm sorry I fail to see these links that prove me wrong. Also no this is not my style of debating, because to me this means nothing, it's widely accepted by the literary world that Rowling copies a lot of material. Your opinion does not change this, and, it's clear to see that you are no literary expert.
