no, he's.....special. one of this new breed of otf yappers who think debating is the act of quoting wikipedia, making stuff up performing superman-like leaps of logic (also bizarro), nitpicking superficial elements of a post while ignoring the point (intentionally), crying about being insulted when half their posts are insulting, and....basically avoiding any valid points for the win. when confronted with a crushing blow to their house-of-cards, expect lots of copouts, tantrums, and eventual disappearance from the topic.

No Shakespeare took influences from various plays of the times, and, hundreds of years before and used them as satirical references. The only play that your statement is applicable to is Antony and Cleopatra, though I was never talking about Shakespeare, he was a playwright not a novelist. He was also not a children's author with an idea only to make money.

So to you an author has to justify their reasons for creating works of literary art? Many people take from different sources when they create, there's nothing wrong with it.

As far as I know, Shakespeare has been influenced by plenty but has not "taken" (which the way you write it seems to mean plagiarize exact words, I could be wrong) from anyone.
