The difference is that those people have contributed far more for far longer, to the GDF, than you.

Nobody is saying you have to go in depth about cunnilingus to an 8 year old, but a simple; "Sometimes girls like other girls, like boys like girls, there's people who will tell you this is wrong, but it's not.".
If you explain it to a kid as simply as that, chances are they'll grow up with the best possible outlook on homosexuality; "They like the same sex, so?".

I think the man's small minded reaction was funny yes. And they were not being corrupted, there is nothing wrong with homosexual culture. The father was not suffering as was later exposed.

in your opinion. since they are legally children and the father has the right to enforce his own beliefs (as you pointed out) its clear that his rights were infringed upon and according to his beliefs as well as those of many others, his children were corrupted and perverted.

Still he doesn't have the right to expect the state to eliminate the books or control the content of a public library. It may be the father's right to teach small minded ideals. But it is also his responsibility to make sure his children are exposed to the things he believes in. The state is not at fault and considering the porn stash the cops found I do find the situation funny.
