Actually it really is quite fun to mock threads at times, posting random shit in the random threads is fun as well...you call it meaningless, I call it mindless fun.

Though to be honest, people don't always want serious discussion, they want to be "part" of one to feel smart. It's pitiful.

I just wanted to HAVE a discussion. I don't think I'm the don of discussion because I simply wanted to talk about one issue in the OTF.

All I wanted was a civil conversation and for people to express their opinions and act mature about this. What do I get? I get called stupid and my thread gets ridiculed, by some members who are ADULTS.

To a certain degree, yes. I asked for opinions regarding an issue relevant to the OTF. If you disagree, that's perfectly fine. If you agree, that's fine as well.

Ridiculing a thread is actually not against the rules. Saying that a thread is stupid is not the same as bashing someone.

I never said I couldn't take it. I said it was pathetic and embarassing, because I personally think it is. This forum is not strictly for fun. I've seen people post about health issues, dead pets, problems in life and the works. I asked for an opinion with something related to the OTF.

There are an abundance of threads that you can have truckloads of fun in and there are some here meant for discussion. It's truly that simple.

Some threads, even though they are the minority, are meant for discussion in this forum. I just wanted some opinions on an issue that came to my attention regarding the forum that most of the people that visit it come to DAILY.
