I've read tons of Superman comics. I don't need to check the respect thread. I won't find anything there that I already didn't know.Yes he has speed blitzed before, that much is obvious and yes he has gone all out before, but against an opponent he has no clue about. That goes directly against his character.
No. In canonical Superman history it's not against his character. Most people seem to limit speed blitzes to just fisticuffs. However the thousands of times Superman has speed blitzed isn't limited to just that. Taking guns out of criminals hands before they can move? Speed blitz. Dismantling enemy technology before it can be used against him? Speed blitz.

Besides with Thor's reflexes, he can always set up a barrier around himself that Superman can't get through.
Hmmm is that a power Thor now has? Invulnerable forcefield? I got a few hundred Thor comics and I never came across Thor putting up a forcefield that no one could get through. I have seen him put up forecfields don't get me wrong. Just not ones where he can sit back and have a beer and expect it to stand up to someone that absorbs energies that can destroy galaxies without breaking a sweat and has thousands of nuclear bombs going off in his stomach 24/7? Never seen him use that one before.
Why doesn't he just do that all the time?

Yes Thor has used the God Blast only a few times in dire situations. It still an option, and if we assume he goes all out like Superman apparently will, then he can use it.
Speedblitzing is more than an option. Again it's a million times more likely that Superman would speed blitz then Thor would God-Blast. Also in all Thor's uses of God-blast that I recall it was a pretty lengthy process. Even more time for Superman to take advantage of his overwhelming speed advantage.

Thor can absorb energy, augment it/change it and such with his own power, and then unleash it. If he absorbed all the energy of the Sun along with Superman's solar reserves, then did such a blast against Clark, than Superman would be no more.
Explain how this can hurt him exactly. Simple math. All the energy of the sun + all Thor's energy does not equal galaxy destroying power. Superman has absorbed galaxy destroying energy without breaking a sweat. So how is this combo of energy sooooooo much less going to hurt him?

That's what the thread starter asked and I answered it. Thor can beat Superman inside of the Sun with his power set. Would he? I'm not debating that, I'm simply saying he could. Big difference there.Faulty comparison. It's not my fault Thor is as powerful as he is.
If we're talking about like a 1/50 chance then I agree. About as much chance as a regular Superman has on a Odin-Force/Rune Thor.
There will certainly be a limit cap to the amount of energy that Superman will be able to absorb from the sun. Just like a battery there is a finite amount of energy that can be emitted. I can see Superman getting stronger but not to much stronger. There is only so much strength that his muscles and system will be able to emit. Superman utilizes the Suns radiation in exerting the energy in a physical manner. These physical capabilities will have a limit determined by Supermans physical limit. Someone like, Silver Surfer, however, absorbs the Suns energy and emits it back as pure energy. So, Theoretically, Surfers limits are determined by the amount of energy the sun exudes and not by his physical limits.
I see Silver Surfer being able to deal attacks that are much stronger than Supermans capabilities. However, Unlike the physical feats and limitations the sun grants Superman, i see his durability being limited only by the Suns energy and how fast he can absorb and process that energy. So, In other words, as long as the Sun is emitting energy, Superman will be nigh invincible. Although, i really don't see these two being able cause enough consistent damage to one another for either to win. They will just battle until the Sun goes Super Nova and in that case...,Superman will die.
Someone like the Phoenix would be able to dispatch Superman quite easily whilst inside the Sun

Lulz at Thor, surfer or a green lantern beating superman in the core of sun. They would all get beat to a paste before they would realize what happened.

I doubt Surfer will be able to best a sun-amped Superman, much less one who is currently in the core of a sun. Sure, Surfer will be able to destroy the Sun but by that time he would likely have recived several punches to the face.
