28 Weeks Later, it's here!

Some of the scenes are disturbing. There is a lot of gore and sense of panic. Although, IMDB reviews raved about this movie. I do not understand why. It has some great visuals and must see for horror fans, but it is in no where near the calbier of 28 days later.

I really want to know how the hell the first zombie [spoilers]the dad[/spoilers] escaped from that cell or how the hell he managed to kill two trained and armed soldiers 😐

Stuff like that just ruined the film for me 😬

Nice spoilers grimm 🙂

Spoiler:
the dad
escaped from that cell or how the hell he managed to kill two trained and armed soldiers 😐

Maybe he didn't lock the door after him when he went in? Maybe someone else opened the door after hearing all the commotion inside? I didn't even think about it when I was watching it.

As for killing the soldiers, the infected are very fast moving, and pretty clinical and brutal with their attacks. And there's a very good chance neither of those soldiers had ever seen an infected before so they wouldn't have known what the hell was happening. At any rate, there were armed/trained soldiers killed by infected in the first movie too so it's nothing new. Virtually all of mainland Britain (obviously the military included, hence the presence of US troops in the sequel) was wiped out by the infected also, they're no bumbling Dawn of the Dead type zombies.

So am I to understand that this movie didn't blow?

I'm shocked.

You also have to remember that the "first zombie" (that's what I'll refer to him as) was pretty strong and violent. He seemed to have more strength than usual compared to all the others that were infected before him.

lol, yes, is the phrase "shit hot" not used in the states?
(serious question)

in america we say...hot shit...lol

my fav thing about the movie is that there not REALLY zombies....there still humans...just really REALLY pissed

I quite enjoyed it, the first fifteen minutes were killer, totally. ;-)
Not as good as the first one, but quite good on its own merit. Very well made and atmospheric. It's top notch, considering its a sequel.

I've heard the comparison of -- 28 Days Later is like Alien, while 28 weeks Later is like Aliens.

Does that seem accurate?

If that's true, I'm going tomorrow to see it. 😂

Absolutely Not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alien was amazing, but Aliens is one of the greatest, if not the greatest action movie ever made.

But yeah, I think so, they're both totally different, yet really good.

Why haven't you seen it yet BF?

I just thought it was going to be crap, since there was no one from the original back for this one.

I'll probably see it now, though. Since I've heard shockingly good things.

The new cast is really good too, but not as good as the original. ;-)

Oh my God its TEX!!

whats next 28 months later?
then what, 28 years later?

i actually thought this was better than days

there will be a sequal - Danny Boyle announced a "third chapter" will be created of the film franchise, which may be given the title 28 Months Later, thus creating a trilogy. The action will presumably take place in France.

As far as the movie itself is concerned it did the job of entertaining - although by the end every character in the movie begun to annoy me and I wanted everyone to die.
