Not at all. Though I would myself not find it funny, I would not force others to not talk about it. It is their right. As it is my right not to listen to it.
As for the consideration thing....and I damn well don't need to. If you want to care, be my guest, but don't force others....you have no right to take their free expression away.

Well, if you don't slander me you have every right.
I would even argue for your right to do it while slandering me. But, the law doesn't agree.

That depends on how bad it is. Lets say for example its not just you it members of your family. How about I slander when you leave your house.
Maybe some people have more tolerance but what if slander is affecting people making them suffer depression and making people suicidal. If its harming people it shouldnt be allowed.
